Yugoslavia doesnt exist anymore in any sense. And also Serbo-Croatian (which are a language family not a single language) are named after Serbia and Croatia. But I can see the confusion because if youre not from here you would not get the differences and similarities. Still good video, keep it up.👍👍
maybe they're confused about Serbia (although the country was made up of serbia & montenegro until 2006) wanting to keep using the name "yugoslavia" and maintaining that claim until 2003.
You know I love your trivia videos, but this one is easily my favorite. It's way more fun when you actually know some stuff :D Please do another European trivia, I'm begging! Fantastic video, loved every second of it. ❤
To understand the Disneyland Paris one, you have to consider how big a deal it is to a majority of european kids and teenagers to visit that place once in a lifetime.

My grandpa was sent to Syberia from Latvia in 1948. He has told me a lot of stories about that. And luckily he survived. But he didnt even met his dad. And thats really sad.
Croatians actually speak "Croatian" but it's a weird semantic thing because the Serbians speak "Serbian" but there's essentially little difference between the two from what I've heard, just that the two nations generally hate each other.
Well Jugoslavia doesn't exist anymore ;) In Switzerland we have 4! official languages. German, French, Italian and Romansh. Just for your information ;) Happy new year guys
Alex Baker In fact, Brussels Airport Company is the owner and operator of Brussels airport. Brussels Airport Company is 25% owned by the Belgian state, 36% by Macquarie European Infrastructure Funds, and 39% by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.
They do have the largest share. SORRY. They also do own other European airports. Well you guys may disagree but they at least own a large portion of some.
Alex Baker You're right. According to Wikipedia, Ontario Teachers' owns a substantial portfolio of infrastructure assets including: 100% of Bristol Airport and minority stakes in Birmingham Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Brussels Airport and London City Airport; the High Speed 1 rail line linking London with the Channel Tunnel; and international water and power utilities. Ontario Teachers' also owns Camelot Group PLC, which holds an exclusive licence to operate the U.K. National Lottery. It has acquired a share of the Irish National Lottery in 2014. Look at Wiki, they own a lot of other things. Why not a trivia about Ontario Teachers' assets. Only one problem, it could last 3 hours, at least.
The Yugoslavia question is wrong not only because of Yugoslavia not being a country, also there are some additional countries that have languages not represented by their names including Andorra (Catalan), San Marino (Italian), Vatican (Italian, although the official language is actually Latin), Monaco (French), and Liechtenstein (German like Austria)
Last time I checked, the Vatican City doesn't speak vaticish. Same applies to Monaco, since they speak French. That was a very horrible, and frankly, incorrect question. But other than that, a pretty solid and fun video.
Actually, the native language from Monaco is called: Monégasque. Vatican City is a pretty unique situation, in comparison to what we are actually talking about, so it doesn't really qualify for my question. Thanks for your feedback, though.
Very funny! The only question that I got correct was the amount of McDonald’s per capita, and I said Sweden. I was there last year and was blown away by the amount of McDonalds there lol
Even when Yugoslavia existed, most people groups in Yugoslavia would disagree on most things. It really was just a matter of time until it split. P.S. I am an American and I am only 20. Yugoslavia split quite a while before I was even born.
Ben Crook Monaco is very expensive. So, if you're alone in Monaco and don't have 100$ for lunch, McDonald's is the only place to go. You'll get a trio for about 30$CAN (20€).
Genuinely surprised about the Disneyland answer. I would have guessed Paris but not Disney, think it’s a bit of a joke tbh. I don’t class Disney as France
Belgium and Switzerland are correct answers to the language question ... there's no Belgian or Swiss language. The fourth Swiss language is sometimes refered to as Swiss, but it's proper name is Romansh.
Well ,depending on how you look at it, Sweden was never officially occupied by Germany either.. Allthough they would have likely occupied us aswell if we wouldn't have been giving them Iron and "passage": Geramny was allowed to use Sweden as a passage to send soldiers from Norway to the finnish front and that kept germany from taking any military action against us.
StMaurice 204 Neither, actually. I work in computer system development for a large Canadian government department. I help manage system releases and updates, and oversee a staff of analysts.
Good job guys :) Some really interesting facts there. Just a few things to clarify, Yugoslavia hasn't existed since 1992 😂 So Brent did have a point there. I'd say there are more than 2 answers to that question: Austria - German, Switzerland - German, French, Italian, Romansh, Lichtenstein - German, Belgium - Dutch, French, (German), Kosovo, etc. Also, I believe Germany has 10 neighbouring countries - you left out Lichtenstein. Really enjoying the trivia series, thanks! :)
BrunSju Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German. Dutch and French are the main ones. Both Belgian Dutch (also called Flemish) and Belgian French have minor differences in vocabulary and semantic nuances from the varieties spoken respectively in the Netherlands and France.
Bulgaria became independent in 1908 though so they haven't been independent all that time. It's kinda weird, you could make much better cases for Sweden or Denmark.
Yugoslavia doesn’t exist and England isn’t the country, is United Kingdom. Also, others countries doesn’t have their own language: Kosovo= Albanian Cyprus= Greek Andorra= Catalan Liechtenstein= German San Marino= Italian Vatican= Italian & Latin
yeah, plus, if they're going to accept Bulgaria, which was annexed by outside forced for whole centuries ... then San Marino is definitely a better answer.
The Soviets WERE part of the Allies. Also, the whole Yugoslavia question is seriously outdated, and it's answer would be fraught with nuance anyway when it comes to language.
Noooooo. Nooooo. Disneyland?? Nooooo. Come on. Thats such a shame. Nothing against Disneyland but if thats the most visited place in Europe (which has a rich history on top of that)...sad
Yugoslavia doesnt exist anymore in any sense. And also Serbo-Croatian (which are a language family not a single language) are named after Serbia and Croatia. Love this! also Yugoslavia no longer exists!
@Post2post. The reason being that sweden has the smallest amount of McDonalds is because we have a burger place called MAX

I'm sure there's a few more countries that don't have their own language like Andorra, San Marino, Vatican City, etc. Still a great video though.
Yugoslavia doesn't exist for last almost 30 years...
Also a fun fact, well really sad. The Brussels airport is owned by the Ontario teachers union. Cough they have too much money cough cough
Pention plan. And its not even majority
Alex Baker
In fact, Brussels Airport Company is the owner and operator of Brussels airport. Brussels Airport Company is 25% owned by the Belgian state, 36% by Macquarie European Infrastructure Funds, and 39% by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.

Romania has only been a country since 1860 or so but it used to be called Dacia.

MorePost2Post no problem. Also, I'm glad you didn't take offense to this, as that wasn't really my intention.

I'm in England and I got 4 correct including the countries surrounding Germany which I'm proud of!
I have relatives from Bulgaria, and they forced me to go to Bulgarian school, so that's the only reason I knew the answer to that question.
This trivia just made me realize how bad I am when it comes to European history lmao
Graviteh welcome to our world
I can't believe some of the answers Brent gets right sometimes. it's insane. He really knows his stuff
He sure does!
I object the Bulgaria answer. They must’ve been assimilated into the Ottoman Empire at some point
i agree Bulgaria was part of the Ottoman Empire at one point in time. If you google ''oldest european country'' you get ''Portugal''
Very funny! The only question that I got correct was the amount of McDonald’s per capita, and I said Sweden. I was there last year and was blown away by the amount of McDonalds there lol
Nolan Kearney yea we have a place called MAX also witch is the same
The most widely used written language in Norway is bokmål...

I love the very rational way that Brent thinks before answering. Engineer or scientist? Don't answer if it's too indiscreet. I will understand.
StMaurice 204 Neither, actually. I work in computer system development for a large Canadian government department. I help manage system releases and updates, and oversee a staff of analysts.
5:40 I'm moving to Iceland. The perfect country.

I am from Bulgaria 🤩🤩🤩
Hello!
Wait, The Netherlands speak Dutch, doesn’t that count for that question?
People from The Netherlands is called Dutches and they are really the only one talking it, but I get your point
In Great Britain they speak English. I cant see any "Eng" or "lish" in Great Britain.😀🇸🇪🇬🇧
What about ireland?
It´s not called Dutch in The Neherlands. So it depends on if the question is what it´s called in each country's own language or in English.
England
Nice trivia! Do you have all the facts for Bulgaria being the oldest country? Because I learned that is was San Marino. Maybe I'm wrong
Mathias Åkesson San Marino is the oldest republic, but Bulgaria is the oldest country 😉
Bulgaria became independent in 1908 though so they haven't been independent all that time.
It's kinda weird, you could make much better cases for Sweden or Denmark.
81 they got one from the other side 😂
Question 7 was fail
