The dollar is a currency wholly controlled by the US and because you constantly have to keep up to date with who the US doesn't like. All your dollar denominated assets are always at risk of being affected should they wake up one morning considering you a threat or enemy. I fully support countries only using dollars when trading with the US and using their currencies to trade with other countries. Isn't a diversified portfolio the best form of investment. @siphomfeka6338 The US dollar represents freedom The BRICS currency will do away with cash and have a credit system as they do in China! Control of the people
There is a misconception how the tariff ,if imposed , works,.The importer of goods in the USA from a sanctioned country is held accountable for the tariff placed upon the sanctioned country .The US does not directly levy the sanctioned country. The effect is that importers are discouraged to import goods from a sanctioned country and they are less competitive .
You are pretty right about politicians. But I think there are quite a number of Dems who are not sleeping well at present, waiting for Trump to be president, and tbe huntdown for wrongdoing that is likely to follow. A certain Biden jr is off tbe hook though...
Import tariffs would be for the importer, so US companies would pay the tariffs not us. Also if the US stopped printing money, maybe other countries wouldn't be so keen to leave the dollar.
With the tariffs added our products would be too expensive and the importers would stop importing them. SA would no longer have the US as an export market. SA loses. The US would then get the products from there own producers who would then be cheaper than SA. That is the whole point of import tariffs. To push your own market back to your own producers and stop money flowing out of your country to others. Why do you think the Rand is worth nothing? Because we produce too few industrial products and have to import vital products like oil. We have a massive trade deficit and the weaker the Rand gets, the worse it is. We desperately need to export as much as we can to earn foreign currency. The US market is massively important for us.
@@seanmurphy637 actually the labour costs are why the US doesn't produce all the products it already imports if it were so easy they wouldn't be importing these products , their country is large enough for them to produce the majority of what they need... The Russians with Brics are the flavor of the month + rightfully so. The monopolar world has been overplaying their hand for much too long now. Trump making a stand will hopefully balance the scales. Theyre going to come for SA. Gov better prepare for a blow back. But the greedy SA politicians saw money, word has it presented by Iran + they ran off to the ICJ - there are a host of countries directly affected by this war who could have laid charges at the iCJ. Iran itself has more to offer in terms of evidence than most other countries. The SA gov now looks like Irans little lap dog in international circles. This venture did very little for SA as a principled, respected + intelligent gov. On the contrary.

If China (or any other nation that has a trade surplus with the U.S.) stops buying U.S. Treasuries or even starts dumping its U.S. forex reserves, its trade surplus would become a trade deficit-something which no export-oriented economy would want, as they would be worse off as a result. You gain respect through strength alone and this has always been the case throughout history and sadly the USA does not have the strength it once had.
@@nicopheiffer9793 Then become a politician and show us how it is done instead of groweling on the ground. Damn where is your pride and dignity? You act like our spineless leaders. I admire Trump for the courage to climb into the political arena and that is his true strength to face people with true will power.
Make your country great again is what RSA should also be singing, Trump is exactly what the world need now.
Are you insane really answer this truthfully. The world is big with over 180 countries so why exactly must we cowtow to one? What does the USA have that we can't get elsewhere? Common you dunce please tell me? Remember how we got sanctioned in the apartheid era and we did just fine for 30 years. We got sanctioned by the USA without them even coming here to see what is really going and they blindly believe the ANC. Now that same ANC is looking for handouts from the USA.

Trump is NOT a... " threat to Africa "... WHY would he be??... this is the MOST ridiculous statement I had EVER heard
@paxrexxton70049 the only threat to Africa is its leaders. They are weak kneed no backbone idiots. They have built absolutely nothing here. The only party that can show how they care is the Freedom Front. They built a university privately funded which came in on time and under budget. We can't even trust the lotto board as they are so crooked
It's a disgrace what South Africa has become.
She is embarrasing😂
Africa and SA in particular have chosen sides and must live with them. As you make your bed, so must you lie.
Politicians have chosen sides. Most people on the ground wouldn't be agreeing with what the politicians are negotiating... Therein lies the problem worldwide
There are no 'sides', only different states of self delusion. Take responsibility for your own life and stop looking for a saviour🙏
Even as a white South African I think our government are finally doing something good for the world by taking IL to the ICC and trying to destroy their lapdogs power over the world.
SA hasn’t chosen a “side” they’re neutral to both the west and east. Cyril was in New York attempting to woo western investors a few months back and Paul Mashatile was doing the same in London.
Problem is they drag us through the pig pen with them. We starve and they thrive.
The dollar does not have an inalienable right for non-US countries to use it.
@siphomfeka6338 The US dollar represents freedom The BRICS currency will do away with cash and have a credit system as they do in China! Control of the people
Finally a comment that makes sense.
South Africa should stand with America and not run this country down Ramaposa must wake up.
What a disappointing comment by the ex PP 😢 thought she had more insight than that
Keep up the trump news 😉
South Africa 🇿🇦 needs a president like Donald Trump. The ANC and Cyril have indeed turned South Africa 🇿🇦 into a shit hole country
I like Prez Trump. Thank you, Byron.
Politicians and families are always free from the law they can do anything without going to jail. Not like us sukkers that have to pay for our crimes!
Yea like the Biden crime family!
You are pretty right about politicians. But I think there are quite a number of Dems who are not sleeping well at present, waiting for Trump to be president, and tbe huntdown for wrongdoing that is likely to follow. A certain Biden jr is off tbe hook though...
When Trump says "there will be hell to pay"he is talking about the head of the octopus,Iran.
What can he do against Iran? Sanctions? Just makes countries more inventive and industrious. Not gonna work anymore..
@@seanmurphy637 exactly. So if we're going to show the US the middle finger with an FU attitude, we can't expect them to be nice back to us.
Which makes it more expensive for the importers and they would thus look at other markets.
@@seanmurphy637The voice of reason. You're spot on.
@@seanmurphy637 actually the labour costs are why the US doesn't produce all the products it already imports if it were so easy they wouldn't be importing these products , their country is large enough for them to produce the majority of what they need... End of story their prices are going up either through tarrifs or through increased cost of manufacturing in the US
As an American I was relieved that Trump won the election. I observed the last Halloween with the thought that Harris would be our next President.
I am so pleased that something is going be done about our southern border. I am happy that no one is coming to disarm me. I am glad Trump will stand up to China & the WEF.
If Harris were elected the picture would be very grim. 4 years with Biden was bad enough.
Ag dont worry ANC will be on the next plane to Iran for more money instead of fixing their crap idiology
And Bibi will be on his plane to go get a standing ovation in the US while being the devil manifest.
Our President should also be more concerned about South Africa, and South Africans, and less about globalists policies from the UN. Donald Trump is going to be a President for America.

“Small minded people blame others. Average people blame themselves. The wise see all blame as foolishness”

Thanks Byron 😊😅😮
""South Africa needs another. ""Trump ASP. Rob and the mayor from Cape town would look promising..!!
My only advice to all leaders in SA , play the game to suit your Country. Have only allegiance to South Africa.. As Kissinger famously said" To be Americas enemy is dangerous, to be its friend is fatal" Ask the EU countries how they are doing.
Now that is a truth bomb right there. Still Europeans do not see where they made a mistake and I say this as an European descendant.
Kissinger was an ass
Since when do the leaders of SA care about the people? Stop being so naive! Corrupt countries have alot to learn from Trump leadership! Hopefully he will help us after fixing his own country
Does it suit our country to have State Capture and theft by politicians left, right and centre? I think not.
The EU countries sealed their fate with the many migrants they let in. Poland is the exception. All self inflicted.
Trump is referring to those who are behind the scenes regarding not freeing the hostages not Gaza
Trump and his zionist puppets will save the world😂
South Africa is so far behind the US. Expect the woke DEI culture to grow here some more, before common sense and logic eventually prevails.
On a more personal note.
I have watched a lot of your videos, and i noticed you lost a lot of weight. Well done bro, very inspiring.
So they all have lots to say (slap him in the face) Now he slaps back and you cry victim hood.🤣🤣🤣 welcome to the big leagues. Be nice or say goodbye.
This isn't really slap to anyone face but Americans, I can't believe all think what Trump just did was genius😂😂😂
@ get slapped with high tariffs or build your factories in USA creating jobs for Americans. Product gets out cheaper and grows the economy. Compared to SA government it’s far more than genius.🤣🤣🤣. Be nice having a government that wants its people to thrive. What has government done for you thats genius or even remotely beneficial to citizens?
Loss of US trade will probably bring down the price of eggs and chicken, and other agricultural goods. any duties/taxes are just stolen anyway. means vokall for u and I. Banks manipulation of Rand and ANC failure to settle national debt is the real threat against further devaluation of rand. Investor confidence was lost along time ago, Would wreak havoc on oil/fuel price, but that itself is already gevokked, with 65% of pump price going to anc and its petroleum industry cohorts. if anything it just means more money for them everytime fuel price hikes.
We need to go back to an isolationist ideology as a country. We were strongest when we weren't in these okes pockets. We have everything we need to be successful as a country and an economy.
Really? How did the pre-1994 sanctions work for us?
@ChildofGod-g8f I'm not asking for apartheid to come back. I'd like to see our government invest in South Africans rather than pump the cash overseas. That's all I mean by isolationist ideology.
@ChildofGod-g8f in other words... we got our own problems and we have everything we need to fix the problems.
@@BawlzOfuzz Nothing to do with apartheid. We had a strong economy and when sanctions were imposed we had to do something because we were no longer able to survive.

The Russians with Brics are the flavor of the month + rightfully so. The monopolar world has been overplaying their hand for much too long now. Trump making a stand will hopefully balance the scales.
SA comrades should but will not see it as such - not that their word carries any weight in global politics. They should have stayed neutral in the israel/palestinian conflict - its not as if Palestine contributed anything to better lives in sunny SA. Let middle eastern countries therefore sort out their diffs.
Aggravating western bankers is laying SA's neck on the chopping block. We just owe these bankers too much money.
It cost of using the USD dollar is too high.
The cost of transactions being executed outside of the two parties trading is making us all poor.
Now America is setting up shop in Angola neighbouring a bricks country in Southern Africa.
The rand used to be strong 30 years ago. Don't blame the USA for SA useless govt.
Byron ,don't assume the only market is the West, it is declining and will continue to do so (your talk of the UK is an example) . The US bullying the rest of the World is also not a good long term strategy for them. The unipolar world is now in loggerheads with the multipolar world. You can guess where my bet is placed
Certainly not Europe as that is going down. Fast. Too many illegals except Poland. China very polluted. That leaves India.
If China (or any other nation that has a trade surplus with the U.S.) stops buying U.S. Treasuries or even starts dumping its U.S. forex reserves, its trade surplus would become a trade deficit-something which no export-oriented economy would want, as they would be worse off as a result.
I.E
Dumping the dollar could spell huge disaster especially for china. China has always artificially lowered their currency against the dollar and if the dollar has a huge drop in value, then chinas economy is in for a huge amount of cr@p, soon to be followed by other brics countries

BIG difference between being self serving "as we have here" and putting your economy and people first, a concept those in "power" can not seem to comprehend....or rather doesn't want to acknowledge as it would effect THEIR own pockets. Africa could easily become a super power in its own right due to its vast resources, but division and idiots that cant see past their own gain prevents that. fun fact, you can really dislike Trump the person, Trumpism the phenomena - and recognize that his platform makes sense. If by now anyone doesn't get his appeal, it's because they refuse to and would prefer the easier path of calling his supporters idiots and racists and and and. I heavily disagree with e.g. Malema or Zuma, but I've got some understanding for why their base supports them even if I don't. You can call the other side garbage forever and never try to understand them... it won't win you elections or the culture war and it's super detrimental to society long-term. Even in SA now there are so many people keep dropping their disdain for the guy in random conversations, like going to your doctor and hearing about US politics where neither you or they could vote - it's cringe.
