Well done Tina. I've always felt a sense of injustice that you have never been truly embraced as the Incredible artist that you are in Australia. Your music and your voice is awesome. Keep up the good fight!

    Same problems here in Ireland..
Radio stations playing absolutely mind numbingly rubbish noise while Irish artists struggle for air time..
Only on a Sunday night, there are home grown show's for up and coming artists..
This speech is perfect.. I love her honesty and after ten minutes her real character comes out ! Love her fiesty spirit..

She is passionate by your craft and she has got a great vision. She has just wanted to be critical with music industry and that's a really good point because it's necessary to questioning itself. In this crazy world we have to denounce certain things whether it be in cultural field or others. That's very important. She spoke and still speak and will speak with her heart and her breath. She wants the best for her community. Well done Mrs Arena!

30:00 When I was doing community radio, the Community Radio Code of Practice required stations to play 25% Australian content, or 1 in 4 songs. I went one step further by playing 1 in 3, or 33 and a 3rd %. Not only that, I ruled out The Bee Gees(post-1966), Rolf Harris, Olivia Newton-John or anyone else that claimed to be Australian but recorded in foreign studios. I played *ONLY* those records that were by Aussies, born or naturalised who recorded in *AUSTRALIAN* studios, with *AUSTRALIAN* producers, *AUSTRALIAN* music directors and *AUSTRALIAN* recording engineers! I was able to do this because I knew the music I presented where other presenters(?) on the same station as me didn't have clue number one on who was Aussie and who was the imposter.

The media/paperizzi can be ruthless and cruel to artists. I believe in freedom of the press but exposing family and location, that crosses the line.

Streaming services should be *ABOLISHED!* If you haven't got it in your hands, be it a CD, vinyl LP, cassette or 45rpm vinyl single, then you *HAVEN'T GOT IT AT ALL!* Bricks-and-mortar record shops *MUST RETURN TO OUR MAIN SHOPPING STREETS* to sell the *physical* media of LPs, singles, cassettes and CDs to give *actual employment* to people to run these shops. Furthermore, the big greedy conglomerates must be *FORCED* to relinquish their holds on the smaller-to-major recording companies they've *gobbled up* over the past 30-to-40 years. MCA must SURRENDER EMI(and all its labels), ABC-Dunhill, Polygram(and all its labels), Decca(UK) and all other labels it has greedily acquired, and *ABSOLUTELY NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER* to be paid to MCA as the right and proper punishment for their greed. Warner must relinquish the Australin company, Festival, BMG should relinquish RCA and Arista, Sony should relinquish the CBS label but also CBS must cede the Columbia name back to its rightful owner, EMI. Basically the corporate make-up of the music industry should be wound back to the 1960s, label ownership-wise.

It's pop music that makes the money for artists and record labels because of its cringe lyrics and catchy melody and lyrics. But that's fine, that's where artists can make money, so be it.
