Welcome to OOR rabit hole. One ok rock is a 100% Japanese band was formed in 2005. The members are
Taka lead singer 35 years old
Toru guitar and creator 35 years old
Ryota base 34 years old
Tomoya drums 36 years old
They sing rock in all styles.
Their live performances are always better. I believe they just finished a year and a half world tour. They have lots of western influences. They have collaborated with bands like sleeping with sirens, five seconds of summer, Avril laving teddy swims and many more. This song in particular was cowriten with Ed sheeran. There is is a making of this song on RUclips if you are interested. They are strong on lyrics. Taka has a few covers out there of Adele and a few more. They were good friends with linkin Park. They were planning on touring together right before Chester Bennington untimely passing. They are signed by fueled by Ramen. I really hope that you react some more and really react to the live version of their music. They are amazing. They are the most humble and talented musicians I have seen in a long time. They will play for 50000 plus stadium or 800 capacity venues with the same intensity and passion. I am not an original follower. I discovered them in 2018. I was honored to attend one of their concerts here in the use and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been. I'm 53 years so I've been to a lot of events.

This song came out in 2021, the live version was released a month ago. They do the theme song for all the Rurouni Kenshin live action movies. They are actually really good movies and can be found on Netflix.
Loved the video! Yes please more One Ok Rock. If you can try, listen to their live performances over music videos. They are amazing live performers. They are a band that does a wide range of genre’s for their songs, so it’s refreshing. This song was actually co-written by Ed Sheeran. The lead singer (Taka) and Ed are friends.

With this video being as long as it is, I was hoping you would maybe check out the live performance video too. That's where it's really at. I invite you to please check out the live performance of this song at Luxury Disease Japan Tour. Also fyi, the MV you saw was the English version. There's a Japanese version on the band's official channel where there's a couple lines in Japanese. The song is still mostly in English.
ONE OK ROCK performed the theme song for all the live-action Kenshin movies. "Renegades" was for the 4th movie. Definitely check out "The Beginning" at Eye of the Storm Japan Tour and "Mighty Long Fall" at 35xxxv Japan Tour. Those are the theme songs for the first two movies and the videos are available on the band's official channel. Good stuff.
The band only has one song used for an anime TV series, and that's "Prove" for Beyblade X. The song was originally released on their latest album Luxury Disease and then selected for use in the anime like a year later so it wasn't a song written for the anime though. They have several songs used in live-action adaptations of manga/anime but just one used in an animated series.

As you can see, OOR is versatile band. If you're looking for heavier stuff, you can find their live performances in 2014 2015 on yt. After that, they experimented many things, "Eye of The Storm" is the most pop album. They have said in recent interviews, that on the next albums, they are going to make it sounds more rock n roll, back like their older days

One OK Rock is J-rock... a very good band! Taka's voice is excellent, powerful and distinctive. The effect they have on the public is similar to Rammstein's, imho.
