- After two flights and a long layover, we finally made it to the United States!!! This is my first time back in the States in about 3 years, and Carles's first time in the USA ever! Even though I'm from Pennsylvania, flights were much cheaper to go to DC. So here is our first USA Travel Vlog in Washington DC!
We were lucky enough to find a decent hotel for a little over $100/night only a 9 minute walk to the White House!
We started our day by walking to the White House. We were surprised how close we could get to it! We then walked to the other side of the White House where we saw the Washington Monument. While we were too late to get walk up tickets to go to the top of the Washington Monument, we were able to explore the rest of the National Mall. The National Mall is the strip of land that's about 2 miles long. It goes from the Capitol Building on one side the whole way down to the Lincoln Memorial. We walked from the Washington Monument past the World War II Memorial, along the reflecting pool, and to the Lincoln Memorial. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction at the Lincoln Memorial. We then saw both the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial which are on opposite sides of the Lincoln Memorial. From there we used the Capital Bikeshare app to rent bikes and bike from the Lincoln Memorial to the part of the National Mall that has all the free Smithsonian Museums. We are still amazed at how many free museums there are in Washington DC!!! We only had time to go into the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum, however they were both free and great places to explore! You could spend days in Washington DC just going to free museums! We bought some astronaut ice cream in the Air and Space Museum so we quickly tried that outside of the museum. We continued along to the United States Capitol Building at the end of the National Mall. While we didn't go into the capitol, we did reserve free tickets to the Library of Congress. We were so lucky we arrived just in time to be allowed in the famous Main Reading Room! It was gorgeous!! We then biked from the National Mall over to Georgetown. While we didn't get to try one of the famous Washington Half Smoke sandwiches, we did get to eat the best cupcakes ever at Georgetown Cupcake! We then climbed up the famous stairs from the movie The Exorcist and finished our time in the Georgetown Park along the Potomac River. We had such a great day in Washington DC! We'd love to spend more time there, however even in 24 hours we were able to do so much! We'll have some more USA Travel Vlogs coming soon!

Yessss you and dad need to go!!
Greetings from Thailand. Thanks for clips in Washington D.C . It's great to see the capital again after my visiting in 1968, President Lyndon Johnson's period. All the places you're showing refresh my memories.
That’s amazing you visited DC before 😍 we’re glad we could bring back some good memories for you 🥰🥰
Welcome Back
Have a great time !
Thank you ❤️ we have so many places to visit this month! 🤗😍
@@NataliesPassport hopefully you hit up one of your favorite restaurants in HBG
@@mikelp8265 you have any recommendations?! 😱
EL Rodeo
😅 haven’t been there in YEARS!
At the Vietnam memorial it’s sad but also amazing to see people find their relatives name and see their reactions.
I agree! ❤️
Hello Natalie, Im one of your subscriber from Indonesia since your Indonesian Trip Vlog 😀 , This video is interesting, I have a plan to apply for graduate school in USA and your vlog give me insight how to do things there 😅
Aww thank you 🥰 that’s amazing that you want to go to grad school in the USA! You can message us on Instagram if you have any questions 🤗
My favourite city so far in the USA 😍😍
It was so nice! 😍😍😍
Plenty of Indonesian food in the US especially on the west coast if you miss gado gado 😄
Aww we’re just going to be on the east coast (plus 2 days in Texas before we leave)! But we heard there’s a good martabak place in Philly 😱
@@NataliesPassport are you going to check it out? There’s also a good Indonesian restaurant in NYC. I’m Indonesian living in San Francisco, CA. Let me know if you guys ever come out this way. 😊.
@@NataliesPassportAre you coming to Philly Natalie?
thank you very much
Thanks for watching 🥰🥰
Great video! "Yeahh"

😮 Washington DC beautiful places.🏰🏤🗽🗽🗽🗽🌏🌏😊😊
We were both surprised by how much we liked Washington DC 😱😍😍
Wow. You guy are amazing, after Malaysia, Jakarta, Europe and now North America. Definitely you miss Nasi Lemak, Tea Tarik. Nasi Goreng ayam, Bakso and Tea Bottle. Enjou your time in Washington DC.
Thank you ❤️❤️ we still need to visit Malaysia! It’s on our list for next year when we’re back in SE Asia (and return to Thailand and Indonesia). We’re actually really lucky as our families live in Spain and the United States so right now we’re just visiting our parents. We can’t travel as much as we usually do here because everything is so expensive 😅❤️
@@NataliesPassport Hi, Natalie. I just came to your chanel as I look upon your Indonesia videos. Tomorrow I will go to Jakarta and I'm a bit anxious it's been 12 years since my last visit there and 6 years since last time in the country. Although I live in Malaysia's part of Borneo just 2 hours drive from Malaysia/Indonesia border. Also, a little confuse coz I don't find your Malaysia videos but I'm looking forward to see you coming here in future. Although Carles would not be around.
(even after jan6th) the securities around the capitol building (at least from your video) seems relatively "relax"❔cmiiw; no(wired) fence/gate, no visible armed guards, etc
There wasn’t as much security as we expected! There were guards with guns, but just a couple (we kind of avoided them in the videos though because that would be awkward to put a camera in a guys face when he’s holding a gun 😅) 🤣🤣
@@NataliesPassport 👍 btw while in DC did you see any politician (maybe DanMeuser &/ BobCaseyJr &/ JohnFetterman)?
@@aguswisnu6179 if we did we weren't aware of it 😅🤣
Hola uns reportatges preciosos. una abraçada ❤❤
Moltes gràcies ❤️
Been living in the DMV area. Most of us don't go to DC for fun.
Hell been in the area for 25 years and went to DC just 2 times for site seeing
That was Carles’ first day ever in the USA so it was the perfect first day of sightseeing 🤗
Waa

Keren banget❤
Thank you 🥰
What is Charles's origin?
He’s from Spain! Close to Barcelona ❤️
@@NataliesPassport we were in Bali at the time you guys were there ( according to your post), kinda hoped to bump into you guys but didn't happen. Maybe in another part of the world.
Ahh that’s amazing! Where are you from?
Our RUclips videos are always a little behind as it takes time to edit everything (even more so when we’re traveling every day like we were in Indonesia!) 😅 but on Instagram we post almost daily stories that are up to date! Currently we’re visiting my parents in USA, next month to Mexico, then we’ll travel south of there for a little and hopefully back to SE Asia in ~6 months! 😍
@@NataliesPassport i'm Indonesian living in Switzerland. My husband and i've been watching you guys.
@@NataliesPassport enjoy your time wirh your family ❤️
Show us where u can work
Where who can work?! 😱
@@NataliesPassport thanks for offering ur question.
@@NataliesPassport its not about u, its about ‘you’ in the sense of all human beings. U seem to only want to speak to people, ur perceived audience, who don’t work in the city. But I’m a person who is more interested in exploring the aspect of working in these places u visit. But noone is exploring there so I can’t see that side of the city.
GoLaos
We would love to visit Laos one day! 😍
