I went to see this in the Wisconsin Dells, so normally the theater is packed due to the tourism, but there was only two guys. One was an Asian tourist (I assume, anyways) who was pissed at the end and one was a 60's-70's man who was damn near mentally unstable. I spooked him on accident just getting up and walking by him in the aisle.
The filmmakers could at least do a reboot or sequel and answer some of the questions! I'm not also gonna lie about this movie, my heart was pounding from start to finish.

The camera was there because the demon feeds off of negative energy, and seeing it exposed more with everyone reacting to it will give it more power. It's one of the few moments of competency in this movie that isn't said out loud.

After having watched this movie, i can honestly say it was passable at best. I've never really watched the other PA movies so I wasn't terribly disappointed in it story-wise. A couple of the jumpscares got me but most of them were pretty shit. And i laughed my ass off during the climax when they put the bedsheet on the demon, because that just loooked ridiculous. I can't say i didn't have fun watching it, because i got a rush from a couple scares that I'm not used to because i don't watch many horror movies, and the climax was just far too funny for me to say otherwise. Its a date movie if nothing else, which is how i saw it on a double date, and as a date movie it works as that. If you like the other PA movies then you'll probably be disappointed, but as someone with no connection to these movies, i enjoyed watching it just for some laughs. Also, yes the demon looks like Voldemort. The alternate title to this movie could've been "Paranormal Activity: Shadowy Voldemort Fucks With Some White People" and it wouldn't have been as ridiculous of a title

To be honest I kind of liked the Marked Ones. The problem is that the movies are too long with too much nonsense. But I think the Marked Ones started of early and kept it going unlike some of the others.

I don't get why they felt they needed to address how the time travel worked, it was clearly explained that the door he uses at the end of Marked Ones was a door that brings you to a random place in time but always in the midst of an evil/bad event.
I used to be excited to see PA movies, I even got to go to a preview screening for the 3rd one, but I'm gonna skip this one. I'll see Sicario instead this weekend.

That Hitchcock movie wasn't great. The only really great casting was James D'Arcy as Anthony Perkins and he's in it for probably less than 5 minutes.
