I'm 64 years old, grew up in the disco era in Brooklyn, NY. This is one of the best songs ever. The disco era will never ever be copied. Its too pure, too simple, too much fun to survive now a days. Those were simpler times when music meant something. No cursing, no trash talk, just plain smooth and soothing disco music. If you weren't there, you just wouldn't understand. Much love goes out my all my fellow disco freaks. Let's boogie deep into the morning. Well at least till 10pm then its time to sleep....lol, I'm 64 not 24....peace out.
I know what you mean. I grew up in the disco era in Liverpool, UK. Remember dancing to this in the long summer of 1976 which went on from March till the end of October. Incredible year. Saturday nights at the disco with chicken in the basket. You are right my friend, you had to be there to experience it !
One of my older brothers indoctrinated me to this music. Because of that I learned English at the age of six withouth any techer, just my brother's books!!! I enjoy all ages of music. But never changed my attitude of being selective. Garbage music has existed at all times. I will never allow it, that's the simplicity.

My mother in law passed away this morning. This song popped into my head. She was the closest thing to an angel you'd find here on Earth. This song depicts how my father in law must have felt when he met her. Heaven Must have been missing her and now she's reunited with her husband as well as my son.
I think of Farrah Fawcett and now Tanya Roberts when I hear this song. I remember the day Farrah died it played on the radio when I was driving home from work and earlier in the day a co worker told me Farrah died yet I stayed strong but as soon as I was driving home and listening to the radio this song plays and I had to pull over and cry. Call me silly but damnit Farrah Fawcett Majors will forever be our Angel and not because she played one but she was beautiful and as a person I heard she was very sweet
I hope time will eventually assuage the grief you feel. God bless you and her memories in your heart. Reach out to Jesus and be comforted in his heavenly peace!

Real music .This song was my late wife favorite, she would play it ,everyday in the house . Miss her dearly ,she up there with the Angel. 🙏🌹,until we meet again .
And when music was true music. I grew up in the 80s and graduated from high school in 1993 and we had good music too. Today's music is a joke but I can't say all of it is because some of it isn't too bad

Oh dear God.....SO MANY dear, dear buds and gal pals that shared my misspent youth with me in the seventies (I grad. H.S. in '73) that are now dead or long gone and unreachable. I miss them so much when I hear songs like this....not only did we dance to this it seemed to be in the background all the time too for so long. Youth went by quickly, didn't it? Man, I miss 'em so damn much, and it's painful. Can I get a witness? Lord.....please just grant me ONE day that I can go back for awhile. I've been pretty good....and I do believe in you and your son. So please.....I'm beggin'. jbeinarizona

I'm not quite that old, but I did spend a lot of time in the late 70s and early 80s in a dance hall on the corner of our street. My dad worked behind the bar and I went with him when my mom was at work and just sat behind the bar listening to 70s disco. It is only now when I come across stuff like this that I remember some of the fantastic music from that time. What prompted me to come looking for this stuff? Looking through a bunch of my wife's old photos and found some of her and her sister having dance lessons, in the dance hall, at the corner of our street, despite them living 3 or 4 miles away, with an 8 or 9yr old me joining in with what looks like the dance to Oops Upside Your Head by The Gap Band. We officially met at school about 10yrs later.
I think of Farrah Fawcett Majors when I hear this song. Day she passed away it played on the radio I was driving home from work and I had to pull over and cry. I stayed strong when a co worker told me she died after I clocked out at the end of my work day but to this day when I hear it I need to cry and mourn Farrah's passing. She was an Angel on t.v. yes but she was in fact a real life one. Naturally beautiful, sweet, a loving mother to her son Redmond that she and Ryan O'Neill had together. I sometimes play this when I watch the episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man she guest starred on, Charlie's Angels season 1 of course plus the episodes she guest starred on in seasons 2, 3, and 4

WITH YOUR PERMISSION,
I WANT TO GO BACK TO 1976 TO SIR.
THANK YOU.
Waiting for the day to take my 10-year-old daughter back when it was "real." Grew up with this music in the 60s and 70s-nothing beats it!
You need to talk to Dr. Emmett Brown (aka Christopher Lloyd) from "Back to the Future", 1985, he might be be able to do something for you. If you find out something, let me know. Being of the HS Class of 1974, I will join you. :)
Could not have expresses these sentiments better, being a child of the '70's myself.
May 15, 1976 got married to a great guy, always told me this song reminded him of me. 70s music, the best!!
Are you two still married? I am 46 and still have yet to marry but I have met a wonderful and beautiful woman
This kind of music must be save on my phone to play everytime to make my day complete...

This song reminds me of my first love in 6th grade. I fell in love with my first girlfriend at the school dance. I still remember dancing this song with her. I will never forget her. I hope she is doing well.
