It’s not that we not deterred, we determined. The fact that so many all over the islands are doing more and together, without communicating / coordinating shows how the community shares a feeling / fear that what’s at risk is more and deeper than just the fireworks. that these laws were not made for or by the people, but rather to control the people and make us comply with the political agendas from people / groups that don’t respect or want to protect what makes Hawai’i truly special. The amazing aerial show of solidarity has become a symbol of our unity, pride to be blessed to be part of and from the island Ohana that truly remembers and holds the Aloha spirit in their hearts, and refusal to accept the forceful and unjust attempts to eliminate our shared values and experiences. You do know in my opinion, if you legalize consumer fireworks. Tax as much as you wanna tax, y’all will have funds to finish projects y’all guys are doing around the island that you people of Hawaii wanted but can’t afford to finish..
Fireworks have been an integral part of Hawaiian culture for centuries, and consumer fireworks should be made legal again. They play a significant role in numerous cultural celebrations, where they are appreciated for their ability to bring communities together and signify joy, commemoration, and a sense of belonging. Furthermore, the manufacturing and distribution of fireworks contribute to the employment of countless individuals. Therefore, we should continue to allow and encourage the safe use of fireworks while recognizing their potential risks and taking measures to mitigate them. The ability to purchase and use fireworks is a choice that individuals should have the right to make for themselves, as long as they are willing to take responsibility for any potential consequences. Additionally, fireworks can serve as a fun and celebratory way for people to express their personal freedoms and pursue their own happiness. While consumer fireworks have some danger, the overall risk associated with their use is relatively low compared to other everyday risks that people routinely take. People engage in numerous activities that carry greater potential for harm, such as driving cars, crossing roads, or handling sharp objects, yet few call for these activities to be banned. Therefore, it could be argued that the benefits of allowing people to enjoy fireworks, outweigh the potential risks. The prohibition on consumer fireworks has resulted in an upsurge in the illicit market for these products, which may involve corrupted government officials and presents additional risks. The unforeseen consequence of the ban has led to an increased demand for illegal fireworks, which poses greater perils. Not only does this expose consumers to dangerous conditions, but it also fosters criminal activity, with organized crime syndicates frequently controlling the distribution of these items. This in turn leads to further social and financial problems, as the profits earned from selling illegal fireworks are often linked to other illegal activities such as money laundering and drug trafficking. Consequently, the risks associated with the illegal fireworks trade should be taken into account when assessing the overall effects of the consumer fireworks ban in Hawaii. The growth of the black market due to the ban underscores the ineptitude of Hawaii's legislators and the failures of regulatory bodies to provide safe alternative options for consumer fireworks.
Let the people vote on legalizing fireworks. Politicians took away fireworks this is when all the aerial fireworks started to come into the state. The politicians created the problem by banning fireworks, locals was content with firecrackers but politicians took that away and then all the aerials started to flood the state. Just legalize what the people want, tax fireworks like Marijuana and tobacco the state would get lots of money to fund the stupid rail and the stores would make money also so much revenue to be had here. Stop wasting money and time trying to stop what majority of the people want.

When we didn't have permits to just pop firecrackers and we could have fountains and sparklers most of the Islanders was happy with this and there was very little aero firework. But ever since the got rid of the fountains and sparklers and have to get a permit to only get 5000 firecrackers plus the store jack up the price of firecrackers and not bringing in enough supply to drive the cost high people will go on the black market and buy it illegally instead of hassling get a permit. I think the aero firework and bombs from the black market will reduce. If they allow firecrackers, fountains and sparklers to come back without permit because people will go for the cheaper route and buy it from the stores than going to the black market to buy expensive aero fireworks.
