MVP performance by the 1999 MVP. That POWER play at 5:50 minute mark is perfect example of why Karl Malone is the MVP and greatest power forward ever. PURE POWER to out muscle and get perfect position against Rodman and then muscle in the basket against intense physical double team by Rodman and Rooks! WOW!

If malone could dribble like labron hed be a better version of labron. On the other hand if labron had karls post moves and shooting hed be flawless as well. Malone has an inch on him same size basically.

Actually if u watch the whole game, Dennis defence was pretty good, all Karl Malone was to shoot jump shot, and Karl Malone was MVP that season, if he made some jump shot, that’s nothing anyone can do especially he had the height advantage over Dennis

Nobody mentions how Malone held Rodman's rebounding average and % way down in both Finals, which is obvilously a very big deal.
In 1997, Malone held Rodman to 7.7 rebounds per game, down from 16.1 in the regular season. Malone averaged 10.3 rebounds per game, and Utah outrebounded Chicago for the series.
In 1998, Rodman averaged 8.3 rebounds per game, down from 15.9 in the regular season. Malone averaged 10.5 rebounds per game, and Utah again outrebounded Chicago for the series.
Compare that to what Rodman did in the 1996 Finals: 14.7 rebounds per game against Kemp and the Sonics.
Malone is very underrated in any number of areas historically.
This is just one category and one matchup example of that (Malone would often outrebound opposing star bigs in playoff series, from Shaq to Hakeem to Robinson to Webber to Kemp to Barkley and, yes, Rodman).
