We love ours! My dad and I take it to the racetrack - it fits his gsxr 1000 through the back and my bmw s1000r sideways, unbelievable but true. If not used on the track my dad takes my mum for holidays! Awesome hybrid.
I really like this caravan. I'm a solo traveller and have been looking at the Swift Basecamp and other sports caravans. One thing that is overlooked with this van is its roof carrying capacity of 75kg. That's why there are ladders at the rear, to put your surfboard up top. I really like the fixed full bed as well and separate dining area.
We have the previous model which seems to differ only in the colour - blue rather than black. The shower is a really ingenious optional extra comprising a pull out tray under the washroom floor. After taking off the seat posts and front wheel our e-bike tandem fits snugly in the garage even without tilting up the bed. As previous comments have pointed out, the double bed is a bit tight for the person nearest the curved front so my partner claims this for herself and I use the seating area which converts to another single bed for an adult or a double for small children. We cook all our own meals without the need for a traditional oven or grill or as we have a 'Remoska' which is brilliant and takes up much less space. The dealer did, however offer to replace one of the cupboards above the sink with a microwave. Storage space in these vans is fantastic (far superior to the Basecamp), build quality is great, you can buy a full length tailor made awning, they are easy to tow and in our opinion are the most versatile vans on the market today.
Its nice to hear from an owner, did you watch them being towed on Top Gear last Sunday? I think it is a lovely small caravan and well built. I haven’t heard of the cooker you mention so I will check that out. Enjoy your touring and stay safe 😊 Karina
Thanks for your review. I've noticed Swift are getting panned over quality issues, leaking Van's and dodgy silicon. Even on their motorhomes there seem to be many unhappy customers. An ex Nissan Quality Assurance Inspector is on RUclips casting his professional eye over a new Swift Motorhome against a Mercedes Motorhome. He trashed the Swift over uneven panels and possible water leaks.
Oh dear, I haven’t seen that video. Build quality is a topic that comes up a lot across several manufacturers. We were very pleased with our Adria and have ordered another. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina
Great vlog 👍🏻, nice little van for a young couple just starting out in the caravaning world as it's just got the little comfort's that you need but still practical enough for a explorer couple. Very nice indeed 😎
Great presentation, cute van, pretty sure the front bed can be tilted up to get bikes etc in that massive garage door. Wouldn’t like to be the one next to that sloped ceiling though.
I believe that the bed is hinged to allow more space under, I was impressed with the space under there already. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊👍👍
Interesting having a front bed. I think that is much more common on European vans to have the bed at the front. I think it's like Andrew D said people over here not used to it so not take off over here. I think some the Antres vans have that.
Thanks Guys, yes we saw this a lot in Düsseldorf. I must say that it looks to work really well. It will work for some here but is getting more common as with the Swift Basecamp and Adria Action. Great little vans. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍👍
i have the 2017 model in Blue /green, great caravans, and if your into motorcyle sports or holidays, its the best there is... but its a compromise, between transport trailer and full on caravan, so there will be always areas of improvements etc. thumbs up from me though :)
Nick Moody I’ve seen examples where you can pull out a shower base drawer from under the toilet floor and actually shower in the hallway outside the toilet. Very clever use of space
Yeah I’ve seen that too, very cool although I’d be a little concerned about the moisture levels in the van. I’m planning for a panel van conversion in the next couple of years (once the electric vans are released) and will go with a shower cubicle with extraction fan.
Considering exactly the same but seem ever so expensive compared to a normal Motorhome and that’s before you add on the 10k’s worth of options. I like the IH 630RL and the Vantage Neo but the prices are seriously steep
This model didn’t have a shower in the bathroom, can you explain where the shower was, there was no plug in the floor and the tap didn’t extend. This was the German model not the UK version which does have a shower.
So, no shower or anywhere to hang clothes but an extraordinary large fridge? Does that say something about the type of person that might use the caravan? And if two people use the caravan, and it came to bed time, I would hate to be the one squashed up against the front of the van, you couldn't suffer from any form of claustrophobia! But no mention of any of these issues in the commentary. I think I'll stick with my first choice of a Basecamp.
This caravan is designed for the German and European market, you can have a shower in the UK model as an option. I like a large fridge but I am not sure what that says about me apart from I enjoy food when I am touring and I like it to be kept cold. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina
It's great to see a tall fridge. I have having to bend down to get under counter fridges. This fridge will be more for all food then just cold type personally. I keep drinks and alsorts in my caravan fridges.
I really don’t like the setup. Looking at the Adria action which is way more calm and logical. I get the idea the designers switched constantly, then straight then something round. Shall we make it real new….no we will make it more as a normal caravan, I’m not impressed. I know quality is good. But design is bad.

I'm really liking this for a small sport caravan. From inside to outside, it's very stylish and so well thought out.
What a beauty 👍😉
Thanks for watching 😊

Did you buy one ?
Quality van jewels, plenty of space for a small caravan!! 👍👌
According to the website there is a pull-out shower which looks very neat. Add an awning for £1000 and you will have a fantastic outfit.

Looks well made and thought out with a fixed bed
Funky little van inside and out. Great piece of design 👌🏻
Ideal van for sporty adventure types Jules, cool looking wee van well smart thanks for sharing👍
That’s absolutely awesome can we borrow it please for a couple of years
I'm looking at one currently, it ticks my box's and i think it'll be a good base for touring. it is a bit "grey" though.

Thanks Steve. I couldn’t agree more it’s such a great van and so much in such a small space. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍👍
Quirky looking caravan. Great review as always. Thank you for sharing.

I really like the sport and fun, its a very well thought out caravan 👍 Karina
I was almost writing out a cheque until you said "no shower".
I wasn't expecting that!
Great review though 👍
Thank you, I think you can have it as an option here in the UK so that may be the case in Europe now. 😊 Karina

Oh OK. Thanks for letting me know!! ❤️
Sweet.
I love that for me but gutted it hasn’t got a shower 😢
Thank you for watching Terry, I think the newer UK spec has an extendable shower room 😊
Great review Jules 👍
Another great review mate keep it up 👍
Shame there’s no shower. I also wouldn’t want to be the one that sleeps next to the front wall due to the curvature.

Were there any 240v sockets or USB ports inside this Cara-van?
You would be best checking the Knaus website for the latest specs but yes, they will be fitted to this “Cara-Van”
En España dónde puedo pedir está caravana yo vivo en la provincia de Barcelona
Check out our Aussie made Kedron
0:40 what song please ?
is there black edition with shower ?
Yes Don, the shower can be added as an option on the Black Edition as far as I know, certainly here in the UK 👍
@@HereWeTow thank you :)
The person sleeping near the front of the caravan won't have that much vertical space to be comfortable, thanks to the angle of the front end...
Im 100kg and sleep next to the window without real issues
@@nathanhughes8734 I am happy to read that!
Everything was perfect until i heard “NO SHOWER IN THIS ONE”.....
It may be worth checking the latest model as it may be an option on as this has proven to be a very popular model. Have a good weekend 😊 Karina
The UK model comes with a shower.
you did not show the shower! This caravan hosts a very new shower concept and that is worse showing!
