Love how both versions came out. The Dread Lantern's flame sword reminds me a lot of Etrigan's. Been having a hard time getting that version singly and want to add him with the other Metal/Dark Multiverse figures in the collection. Patience is something I've learned with collecting the line and it usually pays off.
Definitely... we'll probably never get a Dread Lantern ever again...👍💀

Honestly mr. Bones I don't care what hand the ring is on long as we keep getting these deep cut characters I am all in 👍. Another great video boss keep up the good work I cannot wait to find this guy. And if you're right about Todd getting 2 / 1000 figures I may have to tear down the wall and commandeer another bedroom hahahahahaha

Glad that you´re a DC fan. Here I´m just picking and choosing. In fact, I got Alan yesterday. GL (Hal) is my favorite superhero but I´ve learned to like Alan.
...in, what I can guess, is his first appeareance in All American Comics #16 he wears the ring on his right hand. So yes, it´s happened.
I have a list of figures that I´m still waiting to get from released ones like Catman and Hawkman (although will have to accept the Zero Hour version since the regular costume isn´t anywhere). From upcoming, GL Silver Age, Superman Blue, Atom and Green Arrow.
...and there are two that obscure ones that I can´t wait for McFarlane to make: Creeper (rumor has it it´ll happen this year) and a Megafigure of Giganta.
...and waiting for a modern Wonder Woman to go with her.
One thing regarding Alan...HOW ON EARTH YOU HAVE A CHARACTER CALLED GREEN LANTERN AND HAVE HIM WEARING A, BASICALLY, RAINBOW COSTUME? That has to be one of the weirdest things ever. I mean, the costume isn´t bad on itself...but not for a character that has Green on its name. I wonder if that´s the reason they decided to make him gay.
...and, don´t get me wrong, his story and character in Earth 2 were great. But I don´t get why made him gay when his son Obsidian (that´s already a very cool superhero) was already gay.
Oh, and speaking of GLs, I´d like to own a Guy figure. That being said, I DO hope, that McFarlane releases a Red Lantern variant cause that´s the version I´d buy..

I love this Alan Scott figure so much! Love the colors and the headsculpt is perfect! Doesn't bother me that his ring is on his right hand. I googled pics of Alan Scott and, like you said, there are more than a few comics where his ring is on his right hand, so not a deal breaker for me. Great job with his custom left hand with ring though! I agree with you that the Dread Lantern version should have definitely come with an angry/devilish face sculpt.
Would have made it a more desirable figure...but it's still cool...👍💀

Personally I got Dread Lantern and Alan Scott, I think both are really cool. I have high hopes for the classics subline, comic versions are my favorites so I will support it. I do think there should be additional accessories and/or paint but oh well, maybe later down the road.

I always liked Alan Scott and I've read a bunch of JSA comics with him. I don't remember any stories where his ring being on his left hand was an important detail. I could not care less which hand the ring is on. 😅

Question: I´ve only own one Mattel figure (Superman Doomed). The others I own are New 5 releases from DC Collectibles and now McFarlane, Did Mattel improve in quality? I ask because you could tell easily that Mattel´s materials were cheaper. With McFarlane and DC Direct you can feel the quality.
Mattel really got worse over time... DC Direct had great figures but their 5 points of articulation was not the best...👍💀
