4:09 this is no picture from an accident; its a scene out of Buster Ceaton`s movie "The General". Okay, the film was shot in 1926, and probably in Oregon?
Southern Oregon, about 1/2 mile east of I-5. South of Cottage Grove, If I remember correctly. Its just upstream of the real rail line. A spur line and bridge were built to get the shot used in the movie.
I see you've got the very 1st moving image made by the Lumiere Brothers "Train Entering a Station', I've got the same same movie. But you've gone 1 bit better by superimposing it in colour. Nice
@tertiusimpostor right, but 1945 and 1956 are not in the 1930i3s. And most of the American type 4-4-0 steam engines were withdrawn from service by 1905. And the poses of the people on the colorozid pics are more from the 1905-15 period. Tells you and retired railroad expert and photographer.
I'd question one or two of your dates - photo 4, for example, that's a very, very old engine - a balloon stacked woodburner with a nameplate, for 1911. Similarly at 5.20, they seem quite old engines for 1953. Some pictures are familiar - the coaches dangling from fallen bridges - but none the worse for that.
Super. 💙 T.E.N.

ملوك التضحية فعلا مثل سائقى الشاحنات
it wasnt the trains that where unsafe it was a lot of negligence on the employees that did them
Do you have a website or facebook page with the colorized photos of the train wrecks? If so, I'd love to see it with the full pictures in color.
Надзвичайна техніка !!! Шкода , кожна могла бути у музею
1930ies? Most of those colorized movies were from 1890 - 1910. Steam engines look very different in thec1930ies except those in the UK
But possibly this accidents happened with locomotives from this above mentioned period during the 1930ies. Locos usually have a long service life-

IS THAT A GHOST IN PHOTO 3??? 😳
No - most likely the man moved during the exposure
@@JohnDavies-cn3ro I was kidding .... Tried to make people laugh 😝
Some questionable dates, but that’s an amazing collection of historical pictures. Fortunately rail safety has improved quite a lot since then.

1:46 Hell you talking about 1894? Everything in this photo is clearly from a later year!
The sacrifice kings
It's a shame, the colors are often very unrealistic...
