Thanks Chad! Yeah I'm definitely a big fan of Max in virtually everything I've seen him in. I'm not sure if i've ever seen the man give a bad performance. And agreed, he was awesome in Condor! I go way back with that movie... I was probably first exposed to it maybe 35 years ago, and it's been a top Redford film for me ever since (along with Brubaker and the Natural). Great ones! I need to rewatch The Last Boy Scout - haven't seen it since it was new. One I watch every x-mas now is The Ice Harvest with John Cusack & Billy Bob Thornton, directed by Harold Ramis - the comedy is dark as coal, but darn what a good movie.
Oh yes, I remember the Ice Harvest! I've been meaning to revisit that one... in fact, I may have to go buy the blu-ray in short order here. I don't remember it very well, but I know I saw it, and I seem to remember liking it at the time. I didn't even realize Ramis directed that one. Very cool. Good list. Number 1 is right at the top for me also! Although last year I watched die hard 2 instead and have to say I didn’t enjoy it as much as I remembered! I also watch long kiss goodnight last Christmas too! Another alternative one that would be on my personal list is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Shane Black again (he does like the Xmas backdrop) and great fun with RDJ and Val Kilmer bouncing off each other.
Ah yes... I just bought Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on blu-ray and watched it for the first time about a week ago. I couldn't quite bring myself to put it on the list, because it's still a new film for me. But I did enjoy it. I love Val Kilmer's role... he's hilarious. And I totally agree... the interplay between RDJ and Kilmer was great. What is it with Shane Black and Christmas? LOL! His writing is always fun. Just like with Long Kiss Goodnight and Last Boy Scout... He's all about the wise cracks and one-liners in his writing. As for Die Hard 2, I find it works best when I watch it shortly after the first film (within like day or so of watching Die Hard). What usually happens with me is, I have so much fun with Die Hard every year, that I'm always a little bit bummed that it's over... so I turn to Die Hard 2 to extend the fun a little longer. It's of course not as good as the original... but I love that they still have it set at Christmas, so you get kind of an extension of the first film. And I still think it's a decent sequel... we've definitely seen a lot worse follow-ups to big, iconic films like this. Thanks for watching and weighing in Tom! Much appreciated!

As for the Die Hards I always loved with a vengeance the most as a sequel but it doesn’t have the Christmas vibe. However can you imagine if they’d made that one at Christmas time in NYC….it would’ve been insane 😆
@TheOriginalFuzz No, I think you covered it really well. I'm just such a Scrooge that more often than not, I will steer clear of any movie with a hint of Christmas vibe. Die Hard is the biggest exception to this for me. And you made me want to watch Lethal Weapon again. I haven't seen that in a few decades.

Do you include that in the exception as well, or is it just limited to the first film? I did have fun re-watching Lethal Weapon the other night, but prior to a few years ago when I got back into collecting, it had been a long time since I'd seen it. You do get a little Christmas music in it in a couple spots, but the Christmas vibe is not too overbearing. Mostly it's just a good buddy cop action flick.
