      @@kimmysander2447 I've done lot of reaserch jumping into visual work. Blender can do all but it doesn't' mean one feature is on par with other specific programs. A jack of all can never do one sole thing better than a specific-use. I see a plethora of lackluster work, respectfully, that would be improved if Blender is paired with other workflows.... Blender crowd always looks at a piece but rarely the full picture with regards to industry.

    • @JasperCrowe
      @JasperCrowe 3 года назад +10

      Most architects/interior designers don't properly join lines in their plans, so parts will be extruded individually, which you then have to manually connect if it's complicated. Easier just to rebuild 95% of the time.

    when drawing out the initial walls, why not just use the 2D lines directly and extrude them up to the desired height and segments? even accounting for the time it takes to make sure all the verts and segments are clean welded first, it would still be much quicker than extruding a box around to every wall face and corner. That's what I've always done anyway.

    Am I the only one who still uses the AEC walls, doors, rails etc in Max? All that push pull poly editing seems to take more time than just creating AEC walls on top of the layout plan.

    • @sydesign768
      @sydesign768 3 года назад

      I used AEC walls door and windows too. The doors and windows created on the wall will automatically makes a hole for it. But the problem is the door and windows options are limited, as soon as you edit the windows or doors poly, the hole it created on AEC walls disappeared. My workaround was to duplicate the AEC window or door and make it 'not renderable' to keep the hole open while I continue to edit the door or window for more details.
