Screw Autodesk, screw Vray... come to the dark side !
Join the Blender gang !
@Van Slede Design я
I'm a Sketchup Artist, finally, this feature comes from Sketchup.. now I eager to learn 3dsmax
don't worry forever stuck in SketchUp and doing low ploy modeling lol
Blender & sketchup pushed Autodesk to this level of competition .
Thank god to that otherwise max users would still be stuck in the late 90s.
@@FictionCautious And in debt... 3dsMax with all the plugins to make it actually workable costs more than you can earn in Archviz in some places. It's not worth it.
yeah, blender is way ahead on a lot of these.
@@kimmysander2447 I've done lot of reaserch jumping into visual work. Blender can do all but it doesn't' mean one feature is on par with other specific programs. A jack of all can never do one sole thing better than a specific-use. I see a plethora of lackluster work, respectfully, that would be improved if Blender is paired with other workflows.... Blender crowd always looks at a piece but rarely the full picture with regards to industry.
The ui still bad thou 😂
Great tutorial! Just a suggestion, the "enable axis constraints" has to be turned on for the snap tool otherwise it will snap the polygon you are extruding to the line vertex in the middle not in the corners of the polygon.
I think she knows that, this was just a great way to showcase all of the different uses.
@@RetepOdaged He's saying it so people like me who didn't know will now know. Thanks @BrazeLabs
This is so beautiful and helpful. You've saved me a lotta stress by answering all the questions i needed while i started arch viz about two weeks ago
Bye Bye Bridge option. What a nice evoluation from 3ds max
You are/were not alone! I pray you found what has worked for you!
I'm curious why you didn't just extrude the floor plans to begin with?
more control over editing later on if needed.
Here it's a simple floor plan, usually when you import DWG from architects they are not clean at all like that.
Most architects/interior designers don't properly join lines in their plans, so parts will be extruded individually, which you then have to manually connect if it's complicated. Easier just to rebuild 95% of the time.
Thanks, everyone. I serve a different industry so your explanations were helpful.
@@JasperCrowe studying architecture and already struggling with this lol, but I have realized it happens because the same plan is edited several times usually and shit starts to get messy
Whenever i watch your videos every time i learn something new.👍❤👍
Thanks for sharing new updates, one of my favorite channel, short and helpful, strait to the point. Thanks again
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😀
TNice tutorials is absolutly the best video of the world you expaining skills are good and it was a honor to see tNice tutorials vid well done
Great tutorial. Now i try it slowly on my 3ds MAX 🙏🙏🔥🔥
do you have 3ds max 2022?
@@shahzadkarim2291 No.. I'am still using 2020
Makes me want to model a house and I am from product Viz. Very Cool. Thanks for the Tut.
wow!! its a great new.. i come from sketchup to max and i been practice in 3ds max 2021, sure that will be more easy modeling in max on this way.
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
when drawing out the initial walls, why not just use the 2D lines directly and extrude them up to the desired height and segments? even accounting for the time it takes to make sure all the verts and segments are clean welded first, it would still be much quicker than extruding a box around to every wall face and corner. That's what I've always done anyway.
Agree.
Yeah, this is exactly what I was thinking. Build it out with splines then add an extrude modifier. Done.
this nice new future in 3dsmax 2022 will speed some in modeling thank you
im super beginner thank you for this content!!!
Thank you so much!!!! I tried too many tutorials but this is the
I loved this 3Ds Max improvement.
I was just wondering if it might not have been faster to extrude the spline at the beginning? Btw. that simplified *bool*-operation at 5:57 was mind-blowing 🤯
Here is the video where I modeled by extruding a spline: ruclips.net/video/06HY-3L8CgU/видео.html, the method form this video is quicker :)
i usually do that. spline, outline, extrude, edge loop at door/window top height, and window sill height, delete faces and bridge edges.. but that part is easier now with smart extrude. just push the face and u got a hole
@@punithaiu Fastest way is to draw a single line without outline. Extrude. Shell on thikness of wall. And then Boolean the doors and windows with traditional Boolean :)
@@Teapode yes,i do a single polyline for interiors in CAD before importing it. for only exterior views, i just do a spline for the outer wall, outline and extrude.i avoid Booleans as much as possible, then i need to make some cuts to fix ngons. i just add edit poly, extrude at 3 levels, window sill,door/window top level and roof. and just delete the windows/doors and bridge borders. you get perfect topology.
what a hearty video for all beginners!
Glad you think so!
I wonder why at this point 3ds Max can't implement a modelling system like sketchup (draw on surface/push/pull/extrude)? That would make the workflow sooo much faster for archviz. Patent reasons?
Waiting for About 10yrs for this feature🤣
Thanks a lot. Your voice is also great.
That's very nice technique to cut a hole in a shape, using boolean was a pain and it always deform the shapes. Thank you 👍🏻
cant wait to use these features!!! will make my life so much easier!
FINALY something like push/pull in SKP!!
Am I the only one who still uses the AEC walls, doors, rails etc in Max? All that push pull poly editing seems to take more time than just creating AEC walls on top of the layout plan.
I used AEC walls door and windows too. The doors and windows created on the wall will automatically makes a hole for it. But the problem is the door and windows options are limited, as soon as you edit the windows or doors poly, the hole it created on AEC walls disappeared. My workaround was to duplicate the AEC window or door and make it 'not renderable' to keep the hole open while I continue to edit the door or window for more details.
am impressed
This video is really Helpful
soo beautifull explanation
Glad you liked it
Amazing tricks🤩THANK YOU
Worked smoothly, tysm
Completed ur 500 likes mate
A great improvement, as previously you'd have to cut, then connect each poly with the bridge command. Less clicks is always good for artists. And thank you for your videos!
Brilliant tutorial, thank you.
Nice updates regarding 3dsmax Thanks for sharing it. I like your videos and somethings its helps me for my works
You're welcome 😊 thanks! I'm super happy it helps you 😀
Time saver🔥🔥🔥. Thanks for this awesome tutorial ma'am
Holy crap, thats a great update. Thanks for the tutorial
You're welcome 😊 I'm also excited that we have this feature 😄
Please, teach me how to extrude polygon with hold "Shift" like your video?
Good work
Thanks for the tips!
really helpful and great update i always wanted to have it in 3ds max.i hope we will get better sculpting feature too.
Nice features in this newer version.
I really like to watch You. You talk smart and seem to be perfect girl. But I can't understand using 3dsmax for interior modeling (except building complicated furnitures which is something different for me). As an Interior Designer I can make this model 3 times faster in SU (today same as 5years ago), also rendering with Vray will give me very similar effects. I can stand archaic of Autocad because complexity of all layouts for interior project... but why doing this ? Can You tell me some significant differences ?
Wow thanks for the video
It's really helpful 😃
tNice tutorialng ♂️. And I haven't used soft soft 9 since 09. So sorry bud✌ peace from Germany...
Thank you for sharing. Please share more techniques for faster modeling :)
You're welcome! :) I'll think about some more methods :)
thanx alot >> i am always wa8ing 4 ur videos :)
Thank You😍❤️👍
You're welcome 😊
درود بر شرفت (good tutorial) tanx
Really cool ..please make more video about new tools of max 2022
The video about new updates it's already been on the channel - ruclips.net/video/sbHDtaT3GWQ/видео.html :)
I started making soft recently, I was wondering if you wanna do any features.
Looks like a good time saver.
Great video! I've done arch Viz since 2008, and I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Thank you!!
Nice job thanks
Thank you for this video! :)
You are awesome, thank you
Thanks guys!
Our pleasure! 😀
ima get lit now
thank you
Welcome!
thank u
Can you show us the 3ds max settings for biggners
Amazing as always
smart extrude could be introduced in other software nowadays because sketchup's patent expired.
more tutorials like this pls!!!
good explanation
Amazing tool
Very useful new features. 👍🏽
You are amazing, Thnxs
Really cool stuff, cheers!!
Glad you liked it, cheers!
Very Helpful Video, Thank a Lot...
Hoped share the CAD File-----
incredible 💖💖💖💖💖
this is amazing WOW !!!
any of them even if they all are bit similar. But I can tell few tNice tutorialngs changed and also I forgot almost everytNice tutorialng so I guess Im gonna start
Thanks 🙏🏻🙂
Very nice. ❤
You know what also speeds up the workflow. Shortcuts. That's one of the things that makes Blender so powerful and fast once you got it down.
Now all we need is some sculpting stuff
can you pleas lower the contrast betwen you and the background and lower the music a little or use music without bass on it thank you and may all the good luck be with you
Isnt better and faster to extrude bottom lines up?
I'm unstoppable I'm a Porsche with no brakes
Hi, How are you? I'm a SketchUp user but right now I want to learn 3ds max If you have any suggestions for me so that kindly reply to me I will wait for your response? Remember I'm looking 3ds max 3d full modeling course.
yah , It's doesn't matter the feature are copied or not just fulfill the need of artist is importent .
thnks
Why u don’t using probolean ?
More tutorials please . . 🌹
Can I import my softs into soft soft and process without using a mic
انتي شخص جيد جدا انتي 100%
calling it rn im the next aries.
Also are you using the Mac or PC version?
Hi I have a problem with the smart extra while pressing The snaps it select all the axis how can I select one axis
i still wish like draw on wall
Do we really have to care about quads in modelling walls and ceiling??
But still, nothing beats the Sketchup modeling for this kind of stuff.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😉
I don't understand, why do you manually extrude face by face when you could easily just extrude the lines you have visibly displayed in the viewport, and just use that as the model? It would be just as clean and take 1/3 of the time.
shadow fight how do you open the channel rack?
so how about working on Curved walls?
at 0:50 when you snap the vertices to the bottom of the window - how do you do that without dragging the vertices? I always see people do this but never could figure out how :/
Shift + right click in Viewport, choose Enable axis contraints in snap
@@minhtam9287 Thanks!
Thank you so much, both of you for asking and answering this question, I've been trying to figure this out too, you just made a student's life easier.
Great tutorial to show the new 3ds max tools. Your videos are incredibly clear, professional and concise. Have you tried to use Revit data for the building modelling? This would be quicker and you can fine tune the details in 3ds max by converting the mesh to polys.
