We have two squirrely squirrels who live in a tree in our backyard, and I throw tasty treats to them all the time, including apple cores, apple slices, peanuts and grapes, and they come sit on the log pile outside the kitchen window and look in at me as they nibble. They are becoming more aware of me and they don't run away like they used to when they would see me. Yesh! Squirrels are awesome!!

They are probably cacheing most of those nuts for winter. Those nuts may help them survive the winter, so hurrah for the entertainment as well as helping the fur balls survive the winter!

I started feeding one in my backyard at the beginning of the pandemic and he is definitely great entertainment as we watch him take the nuts we put out for her/him.
Your dish set is made of wood, the squirrels must feel comfy around all the big n small bowls n cups n small dishes n I bet they just love the peanuts lol
I have squirrels in the attic where i live. I go up and sit on the stairs and talk to them. They come over and put their little hands on their chests and cock their heads to one side and listen very carefully. I never feed them in the house, but the first time I gave them peanuts, they were so happy. I don't think anyone ever gave them peanuts before. They are all so polite, this group. I've known squirrels from many houses/ neighborhoods and these ones are the nicest. Well, except Carlton. She's maybe not so nice. But she's a Mom, so... Even if she already has a peanut in her own hand, she will see another squirrel with one and go over and slap that peanut out of their hands... Smh.. I named her Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
