As a Blade, you stifled our performance, your boys worked hard. You should have had Smith on from the start. That fan spitting on y'all is not cool, it is silly to put put away fans directly under home fans without a screen or something
@@BenHarris Your boys gave a good account of themselves. You played your game plan and rose your game to the occasion and it was a very close game which you shaded first half but us the second. We let the occasion get to us somewhat and with your boys making it hard for us by putting men behind the ball, we was probably at only about 50% intensity in the end. What you saw from us today isn't an accurate reflection of how we usually play, we are usually a lot more attacking and faster moving the ball but that's a credit to your performance.
Just got over the result and can finally watch it back. I’m not mad about the performance but I have to say after Hull and Cardiff, Ugbo has to go for money in the summer or even January
Think that's a bit rash mate, with his performances think it would be silly to try and ship him off as I doubt we'd get much for him, give it time and he will come good I'm sure
Just a question how hard was it to get tickets for the game I’m going to try get tickets for the derby at Hillsboro do you know the requirements for the Wednesday away one 😊😊😊😀😀😀😀
Not sure how it works for other clubs but I’ve had a season ticket for years and I’ve gone to nearly every away match in the past few years so I’m usually in the first bracket of people that get tickets so for me it’s usually quite easy but can’t say the same for anyone else
@BenHarris ok mate I have never had a season ticket and considering you all ways get the tickets first and have been to basically all the away games you must be a high ranked member and I’m not even got a season ticket so I probably won’t go to the game or buy a ticket of eBay or something but cheers for the advice your a legend 🏆🏆🏆😀😀😀😊😊😊
As a Blade, I think Wednesday wanted to sit back and try and catch us on the counter attack, just like Middlesbrough did … and they beat us!, the referee was awful overall, as I’m sure you agree, there’s nothing better than beating your rivals but spitting on fans and disrespecting baldock is a step to far, good atmosphere as always and still the best derby in England!
Can't see what you did with the ref, gave poor decisions both ways -not booking Ugbo for his late collision on Anel but booking Burrows two minutes later for the same thing -Beadle flattened Burrows in the box and the free kick goes your way -the 'wrong' decisions you show in the video all were correct (that 'foul' was for an offside, Valery late challenge catching Hamer on that clearance and Souza got the ball from Valery in that shoulder to shoulder -multiple high and dangerous challenges (knee height) from Bannan, Charles and Johnson which went with just warnings or yellows -Smith poking Anel in the eye deliberately before their scrap that they had -Campbell pulled back while through on goal yet no foul -the 'foul' from Hamer for nothing that you actually show in the video where he heads it across goal, even sky said terrible decision -Beadle trying to gain 10 yards on the same free kick 3 times and no card The ref might've had a poor game but in no way was he biased in our favour. Yous actually played decent in fairness, it's a good job your squad and players are dire at football otherwise you probably would've taken something. How Rohl gets a tune out of them I'll never know. In no way did the referee effect the outcome of the game though, the stats really tell the story of the game if I'm honest. Quite even but we took our chance.
@@BenHarris yeah, honestly I think the game was always gonna be like that. I imagine until we went ahead Rohl probably preferred the game being quite a slow, then when Musaba and Gassama came on it started causing us more issues and we wanted the game to be slow. All perspective at the end, it'll make the Hillsborough meeting in March that much more interesting
not that happy about the result, but not that disappointed however proud of the lads today, and we move onto cardiff at home in 2 weeks time (great video again ben UTFO 🦉🦉)
You weren’t good enough though, zero shots on target in 101 minutes = not winning and as was the case today, losing. These derby games are awful to watch though, too much anxiety. It’s only good after the final whistle and only if you’ve won.
Yeah I totally agree, ever since the 4-2 it seems both sides have been so nervous not to concede that it makes such a cagey game, United got their one chance and scored it and like you said we just didn't make enough up front to get the equaliser
Proud of the lads but god some of them grown men acting like big kids before the game when theres kids about shocking but not surprised when you have half a larger
You should be proud of that performance, we are lucky we didn't concede and in all fairness the referee was a shambles, our players went down too easily all the the time but im happy with the win. But see you in march at Hillsborough
Can't lie, ruined it with the ref comment, you had alot go your way, main one being Campbell inbehind first half had his shirt pulled which stopped him from reaching the ball and he didn't go down just asked the ref after why it's not a foul and he just looked at him, 100% a yellow card offence and he would've got to the ball before beadle
I personally couldn't see that so I can't really comment on it, just from my point of view I thought the ref was so soft in your favour and anytime the ball came into your box he blew a foul in your favour, I'm sure there was a point where 2 of your players collided and gave a foul to yous
@@BenHarris What about the clash in the closing stages of the first half, Where Burrows and your defender went down, the Beadle steamed into him, only for the ref to give you the foul? Thought there was a bit of a bromance too with Bannan and Souza after the ref's whistle was blown on a few occasions 🤣
I agree pal ref was definitely in their favour EFL don't like us trust me it's been happening all season any chance to blow when we were in their box he did and then any chance to blow around ours he did. Anyway we deserved at least a point look forward to seeing them at home UTO WAWAW
@BenHarris there was also an occasion which you would've likely seen differently, when anel threw smith in the goal it was because smith grabbed him in the face which you can see on efl extended highlights
Look at it again, Bannan was in front of the player didn't make contact with the player until he fell over Bannan. SUFC players hit the ground quicker than a pair of knickers.
Bannan’s challenge was literally the most stonewall yellow card ive ever seen, its not even a discussion. The ref blew anytime he saw a united player hit the ground
In the first half especially I thought the ref was officious in both directions, the game had no momentum. Bannan's was a cynical yellow, no chance a red (blade).
Blade in peace - not the best game ever been to that’s for sure but take the 3 points all day long. Wednesday better in second half but only real quality moment of game was our goal 😂
I don't think you did much wrong today and if it wasn't for that one moment of great play with OHare Hamer and Campbell you'd have come away with more. Play all your games with that intensity and press and you'll be fine
Its amazing how much hatred there is amongst football fans that live in the same city! if you came and battered someone on your same street just because they supported either Wednesday orunited you would be quickly arrested and sent to jail
I don't know man we had a few chances but it's not really the finishing that was the issue today we just didn't make enough chances to actually test our finishing properly
Was a decent video until you included that shitty chant about Wilder's daughter. Most blades are accepting that it was a tight game, we nicked it with a moment of quality. The ref was wank for both sides. Poor game all round, you raised your game, came with a plan to spoil it and try and nick a point. Would have worked if not for a moment of magic from Hamer/Ohare/Campbell. Cold hard truth the day after is you're just not very good, and we can raise our game to create a moment to win a match. I don't hate wednesday. They're our rivals, but we all have mates that support the other side, whichever side we're on. Thought you had spells where you were on top, but fortunately (for us) our defence is the reason we're so high up the league. Wednesday will (IMO) finish between 10th and 14th, which is about right. The return game will be spicy...will Weds try and go for it at home? Who knows.
Cheers for the comment mate! I agree with everything you said apart from the Wilder chant, IMO it’s fair game with United fans earlier in the game calling Bannan a sex offender and that was the whole stand opposite me, also Wilder was giving it to Danny Röhl in the pub after the game so I’m sure he’s not arsed about the chant about his daughter, part of the rivalry i think. Either way see you at the return fixture, should be a gooden
