Just found your channel yesterday while I'm stuck at home trying to get over Covid, watching the sunny weather and my lovely Lake District through a window unable to go and walk there until I'm Covid free. :( I've binge watched a lot of your long hikes and camps now and I've been trying to think of what it was that made me keep watching and get hooked. And I've worked it out, it's your voice and your calm paced, clear and deliberate way of describing and explaining everything. Listening to your voice matches the slower pace of life in the wild that you are showing us and it relaxes me and helps transport me there with you. The pretty smile helps too when something lights you up! ;) I'm loving your vids so far and will catch up on all the ones I've missed. Can't wait to see your future inspirational adventures! :)
Such a breathtaking location. The weather is completely irrelevant as long as you are prepared for it and nothing beats solitude for peace of mind. This was great, fantastic work.
Yep!. Water weighs eight pounds to the gallon US or 3.628739 kilograms (each) A good work out to see if your arms will get longer caring that extra weight. A wood fireplace is better than any TV program. Having a good friend visit from an invite is always a special treat. Meeting up with another friend Charles is another special treat. Your doing great Becky. Enjoy all your adventure videos. And good for you as a heart is important to your viewers comments. So as the Brits would say, Crack on and have a super extra beautiful and a wonderful day.
I wasn't there but I felt at peace just having a mere glimpse into what looked like a wonderful week. Solitude can be such a beautiful thing especially in such a setting. I suffer from anxiety terribly but such things really help me to breathe deeply and just let go.🤩👍🏻
I love your introductory narrative. You summarize exactly why I cherish solo hiking and the solitude and insights that such an experience brings. Beautifully videographed. Thank you
That's Fab Becky. I'm not sure everyone is lucky enough to understand the utter peace that solitude can bring. A few days alone in majestic scenery irrespective of weather conditions is magical.
I love the way you poetically ramble on about Scotland. It is a magnificent place that has a special place in my heart and I guess yours too. Keep the vids coming and you take care.
Every now and then RUclips throws out a new gem in your recommended, and today it gave me you and your videos! I absolutely loved it, and i find it so inspiring to see someone I can relate to doing all the things I want to do... you are really motivating me to get out and make those outdoor adventures I dream of actually happen. Thank you :)
Theres something attractive about the dark, glum,,miserable conditions of winter, which I embrace with enthusiasm as I watched you do. Well done lass, respect 👍
when i see your beginning first seconds video....my first think is : born four hundred years ago in the Highlands of Scotland. I am Immortal and I am not alone..... beautiful video with all weather possible....and nice tiny house. thanks and greetings.
Absolutely wonderful Becky, the wildlife there in Scoland is awesome and the lonely Cabin looks cosy too set in its picture frame of nature! You’re right the more you get out and stretch your Comfort zone the more addictive it becomes! Thanks for taking us along on your trips! 👣⛺️🛶🦌👍😎
Aye, the great thing about Munro's is that they will take you into all the dark and wild corners of Scotland. You'll learn a lot about weather, conditions and how the differing mountains in the various parts of Scotland actually affect the weather on a local level. The Cairngorms for example are very different beasts from those on the West coast, their shape accelerates the wind. On the west side they are mainly Stob's and Sgurr's in form, while on the east they are mostly Maol's and Charn's. West side you can get low quick when the weather turns, but on the east you are exposed on high plateaux with a long walk (assuming that you don't have to crawl) to lose height. You'll get a lot of enjoyment out of visiting as many as you can and some even multiple times. There is a whole bunch of good hills around where you have been staying. I never did manage to wander up Sgor na h' Ulaidh and the other two munros lined up just south of it. It all started for me with the West Highland Way just after Chernobyl.
.. Wonderful video Becky ,, and what an awesome cabin to spend time to look inward to what's ahead ... Amazing scenery .... Stay Safe and God Bless ....
It takes a certain type of person to seek solitude for a week. You really need to be comfortable in your own skin to be able to enjoy the experience. Thank you for sharing yours
Looks like a truly incredible spot😍 Perfect spot for you to 'regroup' after your mishap with your car. I could literally LIVE there. It's so necessary to be in touch with nature. Good for you Becky. 👍 A whole lot of love coming at you from Nova Scotia Canada
@@GirlOutdoors All OK with me, but sadly 24 people had to be rescued off Ben Nevis today and one didn't make it, 2 more in hospital according to the BBC. Tragically that makes 6 deaths in the last 2 weeks on Scottish mountains.
Living life in the mountains through Becky's eyes, so calm and fulfilling, thank you. Just need to do it for real, that cabin really appeals to me, looks doable for quite some time. Where we going next mate? ;-)
It’s the best to get away from our modern life, forget all our devices and immerse ourselves in the immediate; but we always seem to default to our busy lives. Maybe our busy lives need changing. But what away to forget in the Highlands of Scotland.
Awesomeness! If I may ask a question Do you carry any Swiss army knives? And which one is your go to favorite Swiss army knife or knives? I recently purchased the Victorinox Farmer X which includes a saw and scissors ✂️ on the Alox scale body. Essentially a Victorinox Pioneer with a scissors and saw. It's probably the best Swiss army knife I've owned sofar..and it's tough as nails... It's a superb bushcraft accessory IMHO..

I'm not understanding, you say that this place is quite remote but the power poles and transformers are obvious in the video. Here in America you have to have a LOT of money or a lot of neighbors to go together to get power to the more remote locations.
Fantastic vid, cannot beat the off grid life. Come on then give us a heads up of where its located just in case i ever decide to visit Bonny Scotland again or is it top secret 😉
Narration/voice-over skills are coming along really well now! In the early days, every sentence sounded the same. Summer's just around the corner now. I bet you have it all planned out already!
Don’t know how you do it. Alls I think of when out walking around the hills and woods is ticks, tick are everywhere, they’re coming to get me 😂 then the midgies next in coming months
Thank you for sharing you week - it looked so peaceful and nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would love to do something similar. What camera do you use please? :)
So wise yet so young. I am constantly inspired and come back to your videos. Magic.
