Which standard use for ATR Calibration.

Bruker FT-IR systems use the OVP (Opus Validation Protocol). It does all automatically - no user interaction required to have a perfectly calibrated system.

Hi. What information can we obtain by using a FTIR that do not have the ATR accessory? Have you got a video to share?

Hi DAGAGI02, unfortunately we don’t have a video on transmission measurements available right now. However, transmission measurements basically yield the same information as ATR. Of course, there are some differences. As the penetration depth depends on crystal material and wavelength, ATR spectra show weaker absorptions at higher frequencies. This means, the C-H, O-H, N-H, etc. bands will show a lower intensity in ATR spectra, than in transmission. We have a more detailed video on ATR explaining this effect. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/q0evGXCK-sY/видео.html. Best regards, your Bruker Optics team.”
