For me this particular scene sums up perfectly the complexities of real love. Both Moriarty and Watson love Holmes in their different uniquely individual ways. As does he love them. This series was so much more than just a crime drama. JLM and LL were outstanding together and Natalie Dormer played her part perfectly.
Moriority knows how Holmes's mind works but can't know him. She is way too crazy to really understand any living creature except, to a degree, maybe herself.
The horrible pop music really turns me off this show….this is supposed to be Sherlock Holmes for God’s sake not some wannabe urbane teen detective. Bring in the violins and cellos
The one time Holmes was depicted with his violin, he had just used it to play Band on the Run by The Beatles in order to wake Watson. Let me be the first to assure you that that will not improve your mood.

Speak for yourself. I like the music in the show.
Modern reimagining of the character.
