In my AU, some of the characters are a little different from their cannon counterparts. Not just in appearance, but in gender too. My AU Springtrap doesn't have William Afton inside of him. My AU puppet is a boy, not a girl. My AU Toy Bonnie is a girl, not a boy. (Possibly thinking of making her a transgender though, still on the fence about it) My AU Undyne isn't missing an eye, and my AU Frisk's eyes are open. And my AU Nightmarionne is drastically different in appearance, since he is the Dark Harmony counterpart of my AU's Puppet. Some of these started out as me forgetting to draw their features, but then I just went with not drawing them at all to make them different from the cannon versions. But that doesn't mean you should love them any less. :3
