    The only German Knife here is the Wüsthof. Other, more quality Knife-Brands of Germany are: WMF, Zwilling, Löwe and Solingen

      Yeah, Wusthof the only one german khife. the other uses a material similar to German steel, but still different. Almost is never enoght.

      Well, yeah I have a WMF Grand Chef 8Inch Cooks knife that literally I got in 1996 (Yep been using it for coming up 30 years) and I am still using it, and it still gets sharper than the newer(and cheaper) non-German knives I buy. And I am puzzled as to why WMF never seem to feature in these sort of Knife comparison videos. (Oh I am not a chef or anything though.)

      @@AccCam I'm a retired chef and WMF knives are fine around the house, but for professional use I prefer my Wusthof set that I've had since the mid 80's

    Out of the bunch the only German kitchen knife known is the wusthof brand, that it is a quality German
    made knife, the rest are in reality at least to me are unknown brands. Nice vide though. Thanks

    Well-known brands for handcrafted quality knives from Solingen like Herder Windmühlenmesser and Güde are completely missing, and except for Wüsthof I (as a German) have never even heard of anything on this list.

      what about Carl schmidt sohn? is that a good knife brand?

    • @user-yk7qi9tl5z
      @user-yk7qi9tl5z 8 месяцев назад

      I've never had one of their knives in my hands and can't judge the quality. It is a company from Solingen, Germany. Yet as far as I can tell from their web presence, they remind me more of Zwilling, in that they don't focus on knives and, regarding the low price of many (not all) of their knives, those are probably mass manufactured and not handcrafted.That doesn't imply low quality, though, they're probably much better than the average goods found in many stores. Still not what I'm looking for.

  • @pappschachtel

    1. the only german knife brand in this video is wüsthof.
    2. the aroma house knife is like a chinese cleaver. not even the european form of a knife.
    3. mixing up some steel with the right incredients doesn‘t mean that the result is the same like german steel. it depends on temperatures while glowing, cooling-down methods and lust but not least the procedure when hardening the outcoming product.
    greets from germany
