You wanna know why Power Bounce is giving you trouble? The fourth jump in the sequence is FRAME PERFECT. You have ONE frame to hit it, then it goes back to 5 frames and decreases from there.
The full sequence is 7, 7, 6, 1, 5, 4, 3, 2, then 1 for the rest.

One of the coolest parts of chapter 3 is you now have the option of Exhibition Match, which lets you re-fight all the enemies below your rank, which includes the Swooper enemies that replace King K. I decided to test it out on them and got a lot more star points than fighting anyone else in the ring.
(That's also the only time I've tried exhibition, as I want to go back once I've gotten the Ultra gear)
I did an exhibition to get a tattle I missed.
So can we all agree that Eevee is Lord Crump, Nick is Rawk Hawk, and Vern is Wacka

Going into the remake, I was exceptionally happy they took a page out of Origami King and gave every chapter after Chapter 1 a unique spin on the classic TTYD Battle Theme.
The battle theme when you’re in the Glitz Pit goes HARD.
This is like, one of the most perfect remakes ever and I’m having the biggest smile on my face when I’m playing it
One of the best decisions this game has made so far.
Games should do this more often, imagine if Mario RPG did this, or imagine if the Mario and Luigi series returned and took that page out of OrigamiKing’s book

After chapter 5 you can actually fight Prince Mush now. He is very similar to the Master from Paper Mario 64.
If you tattle him, Gombella straight up tells you to rely on superguards. As far as I can tell, you need to superguards him at least once to win.
Yea superguarding is basically required, because it lowers his defense for a little while, otherwise you have to deal with 6 defense for the rest of the fight
-- SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE FIGHT --
Basically, he has 2 stances where he's invincible and you need to use superguards to do any damage, and 1 where he has the full 6 defense, alongside a move that pretty much 1 shots you if you don't superguard it. I beat him by spamming piercing blow and rally wink whenever I could attack him, and using power shell when he clones.
EDIT: He actually starts with 2 stances, one where he moves side to side, in which he'll dodge your jumps, and one where he jumps in place, where he dodges your hammer. After doing enough damage, he'll enter a stance in which he blocks every attack you send. Superguarding his attacks will break him out of any of his stances and he will lose his 6 defense, so if you can consistently superguard his attacks, the fight becomes much easier to win.
@@PaperYosh975I beat him without super guards by stacking peril partner Yoshi and having Yoshi charge to increase DMG till Yoshi was able to one shot him. I did this after I already beat him with super guards

chapter 3 is by far my favorite chapter even now. you get one of my personal favorite companions, an excellent storyline, and rawk hawk and macho grubba's themes are ICONIC. the remake has made them all the better, too! also, am i the only one who thought you needed super jump to get that shine sprite in front of the glitz pit? i never knew there was an invisible block you could hit 😭
