Advocating for Climate change | My First Pageant Introduction Video (UST ARKIYAA)

Today’s video is quite special to me since this is a video that shares what i advocate for. Climate change is one of the biggest problems the generation faces and we need to realize that we, our generation, is at a defining moment. This is why we need to act now before it is too late. At a micro scale, as future architects and community shapers, we need to be cognizant and aware of our building footprint. We need to be weary of the negative impacts brought by the buildings we design. Other than creating eye catching and dynamic forms with gleaming lights and futuristic technology, we should also see the problems that are right in front of us Give futuristic and sustainable solutions and see growth and development as small steps to improve our buildings while taking into consideration the effects it would bring to our environment. This advocacy calls for people that are not only architects but also people who have a concern for the environment. In a macro scale, people outside of architecture, can take part in my advocacy by practicing small steps to help combat climate change. This advocacy is aimed for the future generations, the children, I believe that they deserve to cherish and experience the environment we have today. They deserve to celebrate architecture without thinking of the climate and environment that could have been if not for the failed architecture that thinks not only the money but also the negative effects it may bring to the environment. I believe that there is no better time to work towards climate change than right now.
