@@markl4997 idk ... It just did, I think it's when ari started to say something like he wished he could change his name to Air, and how the air is free and Dante likes to be free, and how he goes on to say that the rain on his hands felt like little kisses.
Its just so well described and so beautiful❤❤😪😭

@@butterflyhome50 yeah I remember that quote, and I think most of us could relate.. but what I've realized is, we may think that no one is paying attention or sometimes we feel unimportant to everybody else, but it turns out that we aren't as invisible as we think we are. There are people who accept and see us for who we are, and that I think is what Dante did to Ari.. he made him feel that he wasn't air..

No book has ever touched me the way "Aristotle and Dante" did. The word choices, the character development and the whole magic and immersive atmosphere in the book are just so, so amazing. I feel in love with both characters, and were able to see so, so much of myself in them.
When I finished it, I cried for so long. Not because the ending was sad, but because it felt like I was losing a part of me.

If you want to read some good books about gay families that have happy endings try these two novels by Cameron DeCessna. His books are available through Goodreads or Amazon. The first is CLAY PARKER: GROWING UP GAY IN 1953. It is the story of a fourteen-year-old boy confused by his feelings, thoughts, and dreams as he reaches adolescence and finds his sexual interests are in other teenaged boys. But it's 1953, a time of conservatism and rigid family and moral values. Gay kids have it so easy in today’s world compared to the early fifties. The second is TWO SOULS, FOREVER ONE. It is Cameron DeCessna’s first romantic gay novel. The story is set in Jacksonville, Florida in the early 1980s when public perceptions of gay couples were still uncertain and controversial. It is the story of two men in their early twenties, who have both been, shy, ashamed and secretive all their lives. Both have had a difficult time accepting their true nature and developing a meaningful relationship with other gay men. It’s a happy and uplifting story of how two highly intelligent young men meet, fall in love, come out to their parents and form a family.
These two books are for older teens and adults as they contain a few graphic parts, but nothing kinky or obscene. They are feel-good books about the struggles of gay male teens and young adults and leave you with a nice ending. DeCessna has a series of three other books about a gay teacher who sees the ghosts of recently killed gay men and teens. He talks with them and helps to solve their murders. They are from his JORDAN DARE TRILOGY and are great reads with a lot of humor and a new ghostly/gay twist on murder mysteries and fantasy.

Nice recommendations. I’ve seen/heard about these books and some are new to me. I’ll try to check them out. If I could recommend queer lit for you I would go with Waterways and the Out of Position series by Kyell Gold. Both are gay coming out stories. Waterways about a high schooler and OOP about a gay football that goes pro. The other thing is both books feature an all anthropomorphic cast. Walking talking animals since Gold is a furry. And yes, I’m one too. That may not be your cup of tea but these books and Gold’s writing really helped me come to terms with my sexuality and be happy with who I am. Especially Waterways. I would not be where I am today without that story. Anyway. Great vid. Enjoy your channel. And have a nice day.

Thank you so much for this list and telling what you think about these books. I already do have 3 of them on my e-bookshelf waiting for me :D and now I’m intrigued to read the last book as well so I’m adding it to my to-read-list!
I’ve been more into queer books lately, so I’d love to recommend you to read two such series as “All for the Game” by Nora Sakavic, “The Raven Cycle” by Maggie Stiefvater and “Captive Prince” by C.S. Pacat.
The first series I’ve finished only a few days ago and I’m totally in love with it - it’s a harsh one, with a lot of tw, but the story as a whole and m/m relationship c; are worth it.
Check out The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
    www.goodreads.com/book/show/17259690
The second series I’m only going to read so I still don’t know what’s waiting for me in here. As far as I know this book has a fantasy/mystery aspect and very interesting relationship between the main characters. Both in friendship and dating aspects + the writing is beautiful~
Check out The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater Check out The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
    www.goodreads.com/book/show/17675462
As for the third series I don’t know that much but I was intrigued by fan art and the the story takes place in some kind of historical kingdom - so there’s a lot of politics intrigues in the books. And m/m relationship as well! But this is also has enough of tw, so be careful.
Hope you’ll like reading them and I hope to hear some reviews and your thoughts on these three series c:
Check out Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat

Yo my dudes, if you're looking for a deep, honest dive into what it's like to fall in and be in love, I would 10000000% recommend Call Me By Your Name. It's so abrasively honest about the joys and pitfalls of falling and being in love that it would be a shame not to read it. It's also very passionate, and completely about two dudes just falling in love, no politics or strings attached. It's beautiful, it's insightful, and it's tragic in a way. I would also recommend listening to the movie soundtrack while you read as well ;)

If you enjoy videos, stories and books about ghosts, you might be interested in reading the Jordan Dare trilogy of novels by CAMERON DECESSNA, whose works include Jordan Dare and the Kidnapped Ghost, Jordan Dare and the Tolchester Ghost and Jordan Dare and the Captive Spirit. These three novels feature a gay protagonist who, since the age of thirteen, has been able to see and speak with recently departed or murdered gay men and teens that, for some reason are unable to “move on”. His ability leads to one adventure after another as he helps to solve murders, right wrongs and help the deceased settle their earthly affairs. Even though Jordan is gay, the books contain no graphic sexual content. His preference does affect how he deals with the gay spirits sent to him by some unknown entity. By the end of the third book, Jordan learns more about his mentor and discovers an alternate world in which he has a greater destiny to fulfill, thus setting the stage for other Jordan Dare novels. These books are available from Amazon/Kindle Books. Search for Jordan Dare or Cameron DeCessna. DeCessna’s works are very unusual, humorous and unique. He has also just released another more sexually explicit novel, Clay Parker: Growing Up Gay in 1953. It’s the story of a fourteen-year-old boy confused by his feelings, thoughts and dreams as he reaches adolescence and finds his sexual interests are for other teenage boys. But it's 1953, a time of conservatism and rigid family and moral values. To top off Clay's problems, he's an orphan forced to live with an abusive aunt and uncle who openly show their distaste for the lad who was severely burned when a house fire killed his mother, father and younger brother. They would be the last persons he could turn to, to help him cope with his alien feelings. This is the story of Clay's troubles, trials and final triumph as he strives to find a family who will love him after he is forced to run away from home after a severe beating by his drunken uncle. The book contains graphic sexual descriptions that may not be suitable for children under 12, although it would be highly recommended reading for gay teens to raise their awareness of the struggles of adolescent gay boys in earlier times. While the Jordan Dare series is written for all readers, 12 and up, and has no adult-only content, some of DeCessna's works are more suitable for adult readers. This novel, Clay Parker: Growing up Gay in 1953, is the first of several gay, coming-of-age stories the author plans to release in late 2018 and 2019. DeCessna, born in 1951, writes from personal experience and vividly captures the difficulties faced by gay adolescents during those times. Look for Cameron DeCessna’s books and visit his author’s page at Amazon/Kindle Publishing. www.goodreads.com/book/show/42868432-clay-parker?ac=1&from_search=true

I find this to be reminiscent to ' Never Been Kissed' , The Hollywood take was something my GSA hated. I find the LGBTQ community writes for the coasts. I need more of the fighting for our rights types of books and scenarios and updated to today. I live in a red state. Help??
