Venom does have some weaknesses like fire, and sound based attacks. But venom is nearly indestructible and can regenerate immediately, far more than any other resident evil character. I’m pretty sure an alien like Venom would destroy the entire army easily, and I’m sure he cannot be mutated by the virus. It’s human made bioengineered weapons vs an alien race much more technologically advanced than human comprehension.

In terms of physical strength, Venom is absolutely superior to everyone, even in their strongest forms. The angrier the host, the stronger the symbiote becomes. Venom and the Hulk are similar in this. The Resident Evil's monsters aren't Peter or MJ, so Harry won't hold back.
