This was the first Iron and Wine song I ever heard. And though I do listen to Iron and Wine every now and then, I forgot all about this song until just now. I was on a different video playing another song and dropped my phone. When I caught it, my hand must have touched the link to this video. So here I am.

I remember going on a camping trip in the mountains of Arizona. Closing my eyes, while my parents drove the winding road up the mountain, and turning my Bose noise canceling headphones as loud as they would go with this song on repeat. This is a great piece. It's been 11 years, and I still enjoy it.
The control and discipline these dancers require blows my mind, no matter how many times I watch the video. And nobody can deny Iron and Wine has the equal of the dancers, embodied in the music.

I absolutely love the magic that comes from the combination of Samuels voice, guitar playing and these beautiful women dancing.
This will always be a favorite, both song and video. My daughter and I were fortunate to meet and talk with Sam after a Des Moines show several years ago. He couldn’t have been kinder to us. We still regret not at least inviting him out for something to eat, but he was heading towards the tour bus when we approached him. A great memory. 😊

Everytime I watch this video..my eyes well up with tears at the beauty of this dance..the passion of these Spanish women..and the way the guitar music seems to seep into my soul. Flamenco is the most passionate dance in the world. It reveals what is truly in the soul..the love..the pain..the romance..the loss..the beauty..and the sorrow. To watch flamenco is to watch love incarnate. To feel flamenco is to feel eternity.

Absolutely love this video. The dancing is so incredible. I love the animations - the birds flying off her dress and the patterns in the floor as she spins. Really shows how dance can tell a story just as clearly as a song can.
There's not a more suitable theme for this song's video, the flamenco dancing in combination with this song resonates in a way that's difficult to describe. It's powerful.

theres something about simple songwriting like this that i love. i play in a tech death metal band and can school this guy on guitar any day of the week.i can write a song with every note on the guitar and no dynamics at all quite easily. he took one riff and made a four minute song with wonderful dynamics and so much passion in it. to take something so simple and make something so complex and beautiful with it is an art form. i may never be able to accomplish that. i tip my hat sir.
