Hey I have been stumped for a while about this.... Can you please tell me what a hard bottom looks like on these units? It's always bright yellow and I know that means hard bottom on humminbird but what about these echomaps???? I'm at a loss here. Any info that could help me would be greatly appreciated.
A hard bottom will be a brighter return when using Clear Vu. As to the color, it depends on what color scheme you are using, but a harder bottom will always yield a brighter return. Hope that helps!
@@InstinctBassin it does somewhat lol. So where I do most of my fishing the bottom is mud but yet I always have a bright bottom. Should I change something in my settings? Thanks for the reply!
@@tjwilliamson7882 I don’t think so. It’s probably because the bottom is just the same everywhere, so there’s no “relative” hardness if that makes sense. You can try changing your brightness setting in Clear Vu or gain in traditional, but it’s probably just the bottom being so consistent.
@@InstinctBassin ok that makes sense. Finally an answer! Thanks so much for your time!! 👍 I need to go somewhere with changes in the bottom and see what happens
@@InstinctBassin “Other sonar” as in the “Sharing” feature? I have both units set to share but it’s not sharing. I have an inoperable NMEA cable connected that may be interfering (???). I’ll disconnect that and see what happens. Thanks!
So I don’t use a NMEA connection. I only use the Garmin network cable hooked to the Panoptix port of each unit. Unless you have other things hooked up to them, you shouldn’t need a NMEA connection.
whats up bro...can you tell me what the black and white trail line is called....thanks
Sure that is called your active track.
7 bass one day..and I zero today..like wtf

Man another great video as always!
Thanks!
Did you have to make any setting adjustments after connecting network cable to panoptics to get both units syncing waypoints?
Not that I can remember. There is a menu where you can tell one to use the other’s sonar though.
