Although by no means I suggest we should buy penny stocks, but here is an alternate thought to this. Giants move slowly and Smaller Animals move fast. In both directions. So the returns could climb faster in penny stocks. And could go down equally faster.

India is econically and militarily powerful but not that powerful "yet" to influence a lot of countries (this will change as we grow economically in the next 10 years) 2. India wants strategic autonomy unlike Japan or EU who are economically powerful but are basically the vasal of the US. So, India will draw its own benefits out of every forum in which it is in. If we completely allign ourselves in one way or the other then we will lose our strategic autonomy 3. Coming back to point 1, India is not that powerful yet but India is too big to be ignored unlike the African nations. So, India has a say in global affairs and every party wants India's participation in some way or the other to increase their footprint in World domination 4. We need to look at progress rather than the end result (though result is important to track where we are in). I think the main strategy in penny stocks is the expectation of 10 fold increase which a 1000 INR Stock wont give you .. these stocks are more like a bet. In My view there are many penny stocks with good fundamentals

Not all Penny & low priced stocks are bad.. some of them have good potential.. I have made good profit on Suzlon and I still hold shares in IRFC & Motherson Sumi (unrealised profit in both) A. Simple Math: Even ₹1 movement in ₹10 stock is 10% and ₹10 movement in ₹1000 is just 1% B. Saturation point: many high stocks have reached a saturation point.. waha pe itna movement nahi hota jitna low priced stock mein hota hai. C. People with limited investment capacity still invest in multiple low priced stocks instead of buying 2-3 shares of one company. And guess what they still make profits.

1000 ₹ + 20% =1200 ₹ :: 1000-1200 :: 200₹ increase per share very long term or looks less possibility to increase more in a period of time

I will be getting 50k rupees, Where as If I bought 5 rs share for a quantity of 2 lakhs if it raises 1 rupee in 5 days I get the money 4 times short term Penny stocks works well for quick gains, for long term investor your example was right.stability is required

Although by no means I suggest we should buy penny stocks, but here is an alternate thought to this. Giants move slowly and Smaller Animals move fast. In both directions. So the returns could climb faster in penny stocks. And could go down equally faster.

1. India is econically and militarily powerful but not that powerful "yet" to influence a lot of countries (this will change as we grow economically in the next 10 years)
2. India wants strategic autonomy unlike Japan or EU who are economically powerful but are basically the vasal of the US. So, India will draw its own benefits out of every forum in which it is in. If we completely allign ourselves in one way or the other then we will lose our strategic autonomy
3. Coming back to point 1, India is not that powerful yet but India is too big to be ignored unlike the African nations. So, India has a say in global affairs and every party wants India's participation in some way or the other to increase their footprint in World domination
4. We need to look at progress rather than the end result (though result is important to track where we are in). Here India is slowing increasing its weight and once time comes, India will see playing her own cards (I see this situation playing out within 10 years)

I think 5 rupees share is better because if any time you need some money to invest in some other shares or anything else you will not have to sale all your shares, you can just sale some to get the required amount of money.

I think the main strategy in penny stocks is the expectation of 10 fold increase which a 1000 INR Stock wont give you .. these stocks are more like a bet. In My view there are many penny stocks with good fundamentals

Not all Penny & low priced stocks are bad.. some of them have good potential.. I have made good profit on Suzlon and I still hold shares in IRFC & Motherson Sumi (unrealised profit in both)
A. Simple Math:
Even ₹1 movement in ₹10 stock is 10%
and ₹10 movement in ₹1000 is just 1%
B. Saturation point: many high stocks have reached a saturation point.. waha pe itna movement nahi hota jitna low priced stock mein hota hai.
C. People with limited investment capacity still invest in multiple low priced stocks instead of buying 2-3 shares of one company. And guess what they still make profits.
Overvaluation and unvaluation at current price factor is also imp for future return
