I never thought of it like that, personally. A "date" is more of a job interview for the man, then it is for the woman, so I don't find it too weird that she didn't get up. I'd find it more strange if it were the opposite.

@@makalele-du8mb Oh I don't disagree with you on that. My point wasn't that the man should do all the talking, my point was that when you ask a girl out, you're asking her because you already found her interesting/attractive, etc.
Whereas, the date is the chance for the girl to decide if she finds you attractive (and will be with you romantically, etc)
So yea, you can spend the whole date letting the girl talk, and that is generally the best way to go, because she will automatically form some type of bond, and also find you mysterious.
I just didn't understand people saying the woman should stand up and shake the mans hand, give him a hug, etc when they first meet.
It's like, she hasn't even decided if she likes you yet, so why would she do that? If she's already sitting down, you can shake hands at the table.
