I like your whole trip, sifu Nicholas -- the softness, the attention, the dignity, the look. You're not just pushing hands; you're actually standing for something out there. May I ask who your teacher is or was? Thank you.
Finally a push hands competition with real skill. You have fantastic control over your center. I'll bet you do a lot of stance training. I'd love to see you in a moving competition. Nice job. I'm thinking this is the competition in Orlando judging by the familiar faces I see in the crowd.
High skill! Happy to see good improvement in TaiChi chuan push hand! Finally understood ! and I really like the haire cut !! I would like to practice with you one day !!! Namaste!
Enjoy the match but not sure why opponents are not wiping theie opponenet off of them.. Also why does the opponent why not push you when you are in down position usually you can get them off balance once they are down as they have to come back up.

Just saying here...the opponent with their back to the camera had no idea what they were doing. No idea at all. It's easy to look good when your opponent is completely unskilled. Have any videos where you sparred against a worthy opponent?
I like the whole vid but I especially like around 3:20 he pushes your arm/shoulder area and your arm goes total yin allowing the energy to attach to nothing, then you rotate back up with the yang side to push him out. Great stuff!
He has clearly done lots of standing and is used to sinking and taking force. He seems to use his hands and arms here though so no idea how good he is at using his body to absorb and project energy. This is still far far better than most.
precisely my brother has develop what alot of non tai chi player and tai chi players are striving to get......The understanding of letting go, obeying the principles of Tai Chi
This style of “push hand” is certainly a sports with its own rule, but it is not the real Taiji Push Hand. Taiji uses push hand as a training or verification method to see if a practitioner has found Jin, it is not supposed to be a competitive sports.

The “point” before the push took me out. 😂 Well played sir! I enjoy these every time they hit my feed.
The judge in the back round to the right is Sifu Paul O Shea gentleman with the white hair. I used to train with him in wu-style tai-chi pretty Kool!
Sifu, I was amazed to watch how effortless you make it look. I hope someday to be as grounded as you.
Incredible, real Tai Chi push hand internal mechanics used in tournament. OMG it works. ;)
Rooted like a tree, arms like swaying branches.
Dude, that skill is nothing short of a work of art! You could actually see the form!
really, who will buy it and what is it good for?
@@richardconnelly7141 Take part in a Tui Shou competition, then you'll find out.
He's great! Great posture, stance and sensitivity; and he's using his centre. :)
This is taichi push hands. You can see you have integrated the form, you stay within the bell or circle and you accept pushes and redirect force.

Your partner was also showing good restraint(not trying to turn this into a wrestling match) and respect as well. Great video.

Слишком жестокое состязание. Его надо запретить во всем мире.

Which tournament was this?
bcnihao it was the ICMAC Held by Nick Scrima
smile is lovely hahaha
I appreciate that! I love to smile!!
You should consider going to the Kuoshu. It's a higher level of skill than that tournament and winners go on to represent team USA.
Angel Negron Excellent, thank you!
i will look into it now!
you assume the skill level is higher based on this one opponent did you not ? hmmm
