Mmmm???? They both did a good fight. But I thought Canada(white) won the match.
Even the highlight is showing that she was taking control of the match with front kicks.
Oh well, sometimes winning in the tournament match depends on the perspective of judges. They both did a good kumite after all.

When both competitors wear the same white gi and black belt with only one minor difference the other competitor has a red sash tied and wrapped around her black belt, what does that mean in the Kyokushin rules.

@Albert8044 so you can tell the differences , in shotokan point matches it's blue versus red in kyo it's red sash vs blank 😁

I'm sure these women can pretty much defend themselves against one or two male attackers with no fighting skill whatsoever.

Sure. And they could even easily pierce the belly of an average man with those kicks.

You'd have to be a masochist to do kyokushin. I wouldn't want to be in a kyokushin match.

That is NOT Nidan level movement. It's also not karate. I don't know what it is, but it's not karate.

Comments from someone whose screen name is "the greatman" are supposed to impress? Nope.
Your juvenile attempts at insults are about as sophisticated as these two in this video. Another fail.
Now if you have the intellectual and experiential ability to discuss the issues, let's have at it.
This is a bastardized version of something vaguely resembling karate, but it's not karate. What I see here is something trying to be technique, but is painfully slow, sloppy, and unfocused.
Karate is not a sport. The great Okinawan masters would look at this with disgust. Real karate, which in their time was not known by that name, was taught by men such as Sakugawa, Iwah ( who was Chinese ), Kentsu, and the magnificent Sokan Matsumura. It was deadly combat. It was only combat. "Matches" were rare because the consequences were serious, and could result in crippling injury or death.
I've practiced this art longer than most here have been alive.

      This is Kyokushin Karate

    • @turmat01

This is pretty clearly Kyokushin Karate... This is exactly how a Kyokushin fight looked 20 years ago... It still looks the same today... I don't know what you are talking about, but I think you have a misconception of what a Karate fight looks like...

@@laurencelance586 So, I can tell you mostly do "DANCE" karate full of katas. Good on you. Stay being a keyboard warrior. If you change your mind, stay off your couch and train in your nearest Kyokushin dojo so you can start having a life!
