Unfortunately, you may have seen the edited version. For some weird reason the US DVD release had things removed from the movie, that actually explained some things. For example, in one edited version, the fight scene at the abandon amusement part is cut, while in another version it is only half there. Remember the same people who made this movie are the exact same people who made the Reeve Superman movies. In addition, in the full movie version, Supergirl wakes up on the school grounds after searching all night. She knows the device is nearby, and uses the school as a base of operation. She also mentions in the movie; she does not want people to know she is there. Viola a hide out. Also, her home city is in “Inner-Space”, and after she has the device, she goes home and as she gets closer to the city, the city’s lights start coming back on. It the movie isn’t an A, but more of a C- in the scheme of 80ties movies.

14:48 why does the "you can fly" song go so oddly well with that shot? It's so bad, it's funny?
A storm dragon is a dragon that breathes lightning instead of fire. I'm guessing the screenwriter was playing D&D at the time
I've only subscribed to Chris last week, and have been binge watching his videos.... and i gotta say, he's reviews are awesome, he's hilarious, super insightful, but more importantly than that he seems like the nicest guy EVER! Like the kind of guy you can always count on.
I love this guy, and I am UTTERLY Stuckmannized!
+Shijir D Welcome to the club. Chris is awesome!
+EvolMuzik4ever So, what do we call ourselves? Stuckmannites? Stuckmannions? Stucklings?
yeah hes great. i bet your girl wanna get stuckmanized too ohhhh shit lmao
Unfortunately, you may have seen the edited version. For
some weird reason the US DVD release had things removed from the movie, that
actually explained some things. For example, in one edited version, the fight
scene at the abandon amusement part is cut, while in another version it is only
half there. Remember the same people who made this movie are the exact same
people who made the Reeve Superman movies. In addition, in the full movie
version, Supergirl wakes up on the school grounds after searching all night.
She knows the device is nearby, and uses the school as a base of operation. She
also mentions in the movie; she does not want people to know she is there.
Viola a hide out. Also, her home city is in “Inner-Space”, and after she has
the device, she goes home and as she gets closer to the city, the city’s lights
start coming back on. It the movie isn’t an A, but more of a C- in the scheme
of 80ties movies.
42x3 what is the actual version i would like to see it ..
oh Chris, the squirt reaction had me in stitches, maybe because i had no idea what he was on about either when i saw it
Helen Slater is a screen gem!!!!
This movie was about a hot girl doing stuff.
+Patrick Melody And beating up a couple of would-be rapists!
And kissing a mirror.
Hell of a sex toy.
Please
+S.A M
Why don't you have a squirt instead?
As a kid I loved this movie
But I watched it again
And wooow
This movie sucks
What was wrong with me
You were young. Don't be too hard on yourself.
I felt the same when I saw the first two Star Wars prequels.
I've been binge watching your reviews for days now. You sir, are HILARIOUS! New sub.
"This is why Superman works alone" Now I understand that quote from Batman and Robin a lot better now haha
Ideas for your next Hilariocities:
Howard the Duck
Mac and Me
Flash Gordon
Is the Flash Gordon film that bad ?
james501 it's considered a movie that' So-Bad-It's-Good
+Sebastian Fawkes - Sebastian's Mind WTF? Its Not Bad Its Actually Good.
Dude, there are some movies you only show your worst enemies...
Mac & Me is brilliant, take that back!!!
Ironically Helen Slater plays Supergirl's earth mom on the TV show. She is forever connected to Supergirl. lol
I actually like it. I really enjoy watching this movie.
This is the funniest review EVER !!! I can't stop laughing. I love you Chris
I saw this movie on a plane when I was 8....even then I thought it was shit 😝
Not sure whats worse encountering "snakes on a plane," or this movie on a plane.
A Storm Dragon used Squirt
Oh my God, Chris! How did I miss this Hilariocity? What a gem. Definitely needs a re-share or two.
14:23 When you finally hit insanity...
On the back of the DVD/BluRay - "Your script is ass." - Chris Stuckmann.
I can feel you dying a little inside with each Hilariocity review
your hilariocity reviews are honestly amazing. I literally rewatch this playlist everyday, I love your channel man, keep it up
I would still let Helen Slater have my OmegaHeadron!!!
H0rcrux Fair enough. So would i. Hell, id be desperate enough to pretty much ANY lady near my Omega-Head whatever its fucking called.
So funny.
I would give my life savings to have 1 hour with helen slater from 84 in a supergirl costume
@@shawnfields266 hope you got laid eventually bro
Has Chris done a review of Ryan Reynold's *_Green Lantern_*, yet?
I feel like that movie deserves a Hilariocity Review.
*A STORMDRAGON*
Issa....Supergirl
Weirdly there has always been an exit from the Phantom Zone. However, in Smallville it's explained that it can only be opened only by a member of the house of El
Helen Slater was one of the most beautiful leading women ever.
Nah that would be Angelina Jolie!
@@sleepynative9132 "One of the most"
@@sleepynative9132 what?
True. And thats why i liked the movie. She was insanely beautiful
Hey Superman's heat vision fixed the great wall of China so why not bloom a flower
That wasn't heat vision, dumbass
That wall-reparing vision shit was made up, it never even appeared in the comics, only in that load of shit known as Superman 4.
BadAssIceKing As opposed to all of Superman's real powers that weren't made up at all...
encycl07pedia What I'm trying to say is, the wall-repairing vision thing never appeared in the comics, therefore they aren't part of his powers.
BadAssIceKing I know what you're saying. I'm saying that the movies are just as canon to Superman as the comics. I mean kryptonite was made up to give a Superman's radio voice actor a reprieve.
14:23 Totally the Joaquin Phoenix joker laugh!!!
I laughed at it lots🤣
Yeah fake
This is so awesome. Thank you as always for these hilariocity reviews Chris!!!
Chris Reeve had too much taste to appear in this film? You do remember he was in Superman 3 and 4, yeah?
Superman 3: The Secret Origins of the Borg. Cuz, you know, that 'assimilation' scene at the end.
3 is underrated.
@@nickb9718 I actually liked 3 back in the day. I remember seeing 4, but it was ultimately forgettable. Still, both were far better than Supergirl.
@@drumguy1384 I wouldn't say 4 was far better. Still really crappy.
It’s was all under contract dumbfuck
I don't think Peter O'Toole should be criticized for his acting in this movie. I'm certain he figured out pretty quickly what a pile of crap he'd gotten himself into, so he just decided to go along with it and overact the hell out of his part.
I think booze maybe the catalyst for that " performance" , one to many Squirts......
Peter O'Toole was classically an alcoholic. The squirt was his on-set scotch the helped him get through the movie.
Obviously, I must have never seen this movie even though I was alive back then and was a comic book kid. I'm assuming my memory decided to protect me and suppress the memories. It's the only thing that makes sense
I love angry Chris!
Best Super girl. My sister use to love it when we were children and she use to watch it over and over so I am my brother broke the cassette.
I feel bad for her to this day. I did like this move but not the part where witch captures Supergirl.
The sad part is that I loved this movie when I was a kid.
Me2
Spaghetti Child I still love it and I haven't even watched it! 😀
Universe Wonderland Yeah, its okay to like something, even if other people don't. Its okay. Don't feel ashamed for liking something. Feel proud. Or something. Just saying. To everyone here, have a great day/night, and remember to stay beautiful.
Heck, I even watched it twice in the cinema!
Jerry Goldsmith's score was pretty good though,& what a cast,...even if it was a complete waste of acting talent.
Same here.... and I had a huge crush on Helen Slater from Billie Jean.
Say what you will about the movie but the girl playing her was beautiful
Helen slater I think could have been a good supergirl... Only if this was a good movie
+kanishq ruhil She was great in it.
Watching the review I wonder why the hell are these 2 guys attempting to rape Supergirl? What purpose is this for the plot at all?
Jason Case
To establish character that she can save herself from the most cliche "damsel In distress" situation... Attempted rape while walking in a dark alley
kanishq ruhil Yet it gives no plausible reason as to why.
No regard for continuity this movie is a mess.
I'm pretty sure no damn person survived of krypton other than Kal El aka Superman-Clark Kent so it's rewriting history, not worried about her world, no reason to go to that school, heat vision used to grow a flower but then heats a knife wow no freakin consistency, wow they're fighting over a guy how damn lame, why the hell does the villain want to rule the world, etc.
kanishq ruhil The dumbest thing is she lands in this area really with these 2 predators as no plausible explanation as to why she lands there.
Also the guy decides to still to fight her what plausible reason did he have at all to believe he could win or damage her?
Selena: "I'm considering nothing less than world domination."
M. Bison from Street Fighter: "Of course."
*"LOOK... IT'S A BIRD...*
*A STORM DRAGON...*
*A SPLAHH-GAHH-DOOHH...*
*A SQUIRT??...*
*NO, IT'S A SUPERGIRL"!!*
"Why would you do that?" the most precious question Chris has ever asked.
I loved Supergirl when I was a kid.

Everyone has their low moments....
I guess I still do... lol
