    Any reason as to why you didn't directly calculate to the max allowable draft at the last leg 13.000?

    Sir, any particular reason as to why hog/sag allowance was applied only at the beginning, but not in the later part of the calculations? Thanks

    This video is really helpful for up coming chief officers. Kindly post one video taking into account different densities and hog/sag deflection. Thanks

    At Aqaba is the density less than 1.025 or equal to since the zone is tropical?

    Is there any reason for not taking the extra cargo loadable due to consumption of fuel during the voyage? As the limiting draft restrictions is at arrival port gangavaram only.

    Can we load summer displacement + fuel consumption from Aqaba to gangavaram ?

    I think you must take 10 cm less than Max draft allowable.. because stability books and loadmaster programs have not hogging/sagging..

    Previous video part - 1 we have taken density 1 but in this part density has been taken as 1.025 . Why?

    Why sag allowance been taken only one time in calaculation, y not in all steps

    • @funnel2tunnel360
      @funnel2tunnel360  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for asking!. The sag allowance is taken mostly when you are loading up to marks OR loading upto maximum allowable draft.
      When we calculated maximum cargo that can be loaded at Aqaba we took the SAG allowance and came to conclusion that we can load maximum cargo of 81651 mt.
      However, later we calculated that maximum cargo that can be loaded without exceeding the limits is 69884 mt ONLY.
      So, if we load this cargo at Aqaba, we will not be exceeding the draft limitations anytime. Therefore, there was no point taking into account the SAG allowance at loadport.
      Even if SAG develops, the vessel under the influence of dynamic stresses, stretches itself out and normally mostly the SAG would be negligible at the end of a long voyage!. Hope it clears!

    • @madhurgupta8279
      @madhurgupta8279 3 года назад

      But sir if sag will occur than we will be exceeding the draft at gangavaram ,as we calculated the cargo at 13 mtrs 1.025 density, not taken sag allowance.

  • @popeye-du3wt
    @popeye-du3wt 2 года назад

    we did not include the sagg/hogg allowance sir

    WHY NOT USING HOG/SAG WHILE ENTERING SUMMER ZONE CACLC?

    • @funnel2tunnel360
      @funnel2tunnel360  3 года назад

      yes. we do keep into account hog/sag allowance whenever we plan for cargo.
      in this example we have not taken this for the sake of simplicity.
      however we shall discuss the same in our upcoming videos.
