It just dawned on me that she actually said ‘heart shaped bruise’ instead of ‘heart shaped cruise’ because I genuinely thought in my head at the time ‘wtf is a heart shaped cruise’ 🚢

I'm not sure if you know about the whole fuss with the Icelandic NF, but this winning over the one song everyone was sure would win (Bashar Murad's "Wild West") is perhaps THE funniest result of the year. As for Hera - well, luckily for her, she need not fear a high position in my final ranking.

  • @heppolo

In my opinion, this song was just thrown up there in the line-up to make up the numbers for Söngvakeppnin that had an obvious winner but also had to attract some tv audience for a local star. And then the dreaded 2 song Superfinal format happened where people basically voted against rather than for a song.

      Each to their own.
Personally I found it the dullest song in their selection this year. Might be a genre thing. 🤷‍♂️

Well, I meant out of ALL the songs. And therefore obviously also in the final.
But like I said, we all have different tastes and that is fine. Sometimes your favorite does well or even wins… sometimes it does not.
With Bashar… I’m just not feeling it. It’s a fine enough song, I really have no strong feelings on it one way or another. And so, it’s a pass for me.
