Is the second part where you go in behind the keyboard and attach the black circle thing to the motherboard necessary if I don’t have a secondary battery? If all I have is the main primary battery, is the job done by just taking out the main large battery on the bottom of the laptop? Thanks.
Yes, Just replacing the Main Battery will not reset or restore the CMOS Battery, it most be replaced!
Me gustaría que el reemplazo de la bateria fuera más genérico. Tuve que improvisar, Desarme la bateria descargada y le adapté una CR2032 genérica con el conector y los cables de la bateria original, reutilice las laminitas de contacto y envolví con cinta de aislar.
Thanks for the instruction! I have one of these with a locked bios(admin psswrd)..... I removed the CMOS battery for an hour and its still locked..... Any tips on how to reset it? I'd like to upgrade the drive but can't with the locked bios ....
Turns out the locked bios didn't prevent the new SSD drive and windows 10 upgrade .... It runs well!
Just install a New Hard Drive!
