The Welsh Rugby Union was founded on March 12th 1881 in the Castle Hotel, Neath.
How the ensuing 140 years unfolded is a fascinating tale indeed.

You missed someone from this... John Henry ‘Jack’ Gore, he played from 1924 for Wales and was described in an extract from the South Wales News - “Gore is one of the greatest Forwards Wales has ever produced”
There is a famous photo of him tackling two players at the same time (as one is off loading a pass to another), he is holding onto the hips of both players!
