Feast of St. Patrick's Umuokirika 2024

Feast of St.Patrick;s Umuokirika in Ahiazu Mbaise is in line with the global hosting of the religious festival annually by the Catholics on March 17th in commemoration of the life of St. Patrick an Irish Priest , the Patron saint and National Apostle of Ireland who died on March 17th. Feast of St. Patrick's Umuokirika has its own uniqueness and ordinances based on the culture and interests of the people of Umuokirika a part of Ekwereazu clan in Ahiazu Mbaise L,G,A of Imo State, Nigeria,
The event usually elicits great excitement and euphoria from the people of Umuokirika as well as attracting visitors from neighbouring communities.The festival is also dedicated in memory of their grand Patron- Late Chief Benneth Iwuh, Onyekuma 1 of Umuokirika, in appreciation of his great support to the Festival, St. Patrick's primary School and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Since his passing in 2007, his Children and grand Children have taken over the baton as the benefactors,
The event features; A special Mass, cultural dance cum musical performances, field events, different athletic, artistic and intellectual competitions which includes: quiz competition, Football competition, March pass by Women and Childfren and other exciting games. it is always a spectacular, refreshing and exhilarating experience.
