Got mine on order, delivery Thursday. Got it, love it! I did order the fluffy head roller for my 2,600 sq ft of hardwood flooring. The roller head that comes with the vac is great but I like the fluffy head for picking up the dust which is my main concern.
I really like this review and the one were you talk about what you don't like about the v11. I found both of them helpful and very informative. I can see this video was made in 2019, how is the battery and/or charging looks like now in 2021 please ? regards
Anyone have the V11 with the High Torque head, and have the torque head have a delay in spinning when you turn the vacuum on? When I pull the trigger, the suction is immediate, but the brush roll on the high torque head has a delay that ranges from around 2 seconds to 5 seconds.
VacuumAdvisor I actually took the brush roll off, and found that there was a gray plastic ring that had snapped, at the base of the post that the brush roll sits on. I went on amazon, and there are two reviews that had the same problem. They actually posted pictures with the same exact piece broken. Dysons customer service was excellent, and had a replacement head sent in two days, and there is about a second delay on the new head. It seems to be functioning properly. I’d suggest anyone getting this vacuum to check where the brush roll attaches. Other than that, I love the v11! Perfect for cat litter pick up throughout the day.
Which one did you end up going for? I have all hard floors in my home. I don’t believe the absolute model is offered in the US, so I was thinking about ordering the V11 torque or animal and then purchasing the soft roller separately. Just wondering if you went without the soft roller and how it’s been working for you.
@@teeeff8337 Hi Tara, I went for the absolute and in general I use the soft roller on the hard floors and the normal head on my carpet. I actually switch it over and I feel like the soft roller is better on the hard floors. But in the odd occasion I can't be bothered to switch over I use the normal head on my floors and it's fine. Im not sure if I would notice the difference if I didn't have the 2 heads to compare, if that makes sense.... Sorry I don't think I was much help
The one thing that's bothering me about my V10 is that when new, the dustbin is clear like glass, but after a few months becomes fogged and a slightly opaque. I wiped it down internally with isopropyl alcohol and it had no efffect. I just think it's a disappointment for such a high end product. It looks crummy like when car headlights become fogged. I presume it's the same on the V11? Maybe there's some treatment that can polish it up permanently?
I have had the same issue with all of my Dyson products. I think it's because it's a combo of dirt and scratches. If Dyson coated the bin with something perhaps it would stay clear but sadly I don't think there is anything we can do ourselves. In the same boat and miss the brand new Dyson look
@@jasonwhitton8106 yes however it will just get cloudy after a few months of use also. Why should a customer have to keep buying a canister for 20$ here and there when they drop 500+ on a vacuum. I think its reasonable for the manufacturer to correct this issue. After all, they are "scientists" aren't they?
@@jasonwhitton8106 I might buy a replacement bin and try the clearcoat primer suggestion. I also think Dyson should have included 2 filters, one to use while the other one is drying, which can take up to 2 days in winter or humid climates. Even my $150 vacuum came with 2 filters. I speculate this is how Dyson budget for their warranty as their customer service is very quick to send out replacement parts under warranty.
@@Lennox1492 It isn't an issue, and if you think it is you're crazy. Vacuum cleaners are tools they aren't showpieces. Sure, keep it clean to make sure it runs well, but no reasonable person cares whether the plastic of the bin clouds. Plastic will naturally do that and there is no reasonably cost-effective way for Dyson to stop it. The only way they could fix it would be by using a glass bin and I'm sure you can realize how stupid that would be.
The cylindrical battery technology used in the Dyson is far ahead than smartphone batteries, it's why electric cars also use similar cylindrical cells.
Still no swappable battery and a recharging time of 4.5 hours. The Tineco A11 vacuum comes with two swappable batteries and it's also lighter. Dyson has now got stiff competition.
You dont need two batteries when that one battery has a huge amount of power and time usage out of it. Come on. Think ppl. And the charge time is pretty good for what it is because fast charging a battery strains it and shortens its lifetime. But gently charging a battery helps to stretch its lifetime as long as possible. Besides lets say you forget to charge the second battery when the one ur using dies. Now you have to charge both batteries. And its extra battery land fill waste when you have 2 batteries instead of one big wffective battery. Use your head mayne
If the battery in the Dyson vacuum dies then your Dyson vacuum cleaner becomes land fill waste. Dyson wants you to buy a new vacuum cleaner if/when the battery dies. And yes, I need two batteries and so should you. Use your head! All electric lawn mowers come with swappable batteries and for a good reason.
@@cristianrosescu2914 yeh but yall should know how heavy dyson is in engineering and rennovation and technology. They stated that with responsible use of the v11, and their new battery chemistry, you can expect their batteries to fall down to 80% capacity in 15 yrs.
I've seen them on dyson.com and I've seen them on Amazon. Probably available elsewhere as well. None of my links are related to the soft roller cleaner head.
I would've liked to of seen the twerk work on flooring on medium and low i'm wondering if the soft brush would be better I have all floors no carpeting
Wondering the same thing but since I have an older model with the brush roller, I’m not at all concerned. And...the specs on the V11 state - safe on hardwood flooring.
This is the BEST vacuum I've used!! Worth every penny!! Use it to believe it!! All that grime embedded into your carpets will be removed.
Dyson needs to employ this man as the tester.
Amazing video! I just got my v11 torque and your video is extremely helpful! I also watched the dislike one and still so much info! Best review!
Your videos are really good. No fuss - just get right into the goodies. Thank you.
I was hoping to see a video from you about the V11. Great video. Thank you. Gonna watch your dislikes about the v11 next. Interested to see that one.
Was going to ask about the v11 but you beat me to it. Really thorough review which is appreciated👍🏻
Excellent, just ordered the Animal V11. Waiting for it.
Was wondering when this video was gonna come out! Thanks for the review. Def Dyson's best so far.

I am stuck between dyson v11 and the tineco one s12... watched your reviews and now I can’t decide at all...
Thank you so much sir for this review.
I saw many videos about this vacuum but never like what you made.
Thanks so much for this video. Was so helpful!
Been looking forward to this video

Great review as always!
V11 Outsize came out!! Larger bin and double removable batteries hahaha I wonder who they copied for that 👀
the wall-socket in my home is 220v.
Is it safe to recharge the battery with it 220v or it going to burn up the battery?
Great review, thank you!
Is the torque head safe to use on hardwood floors without scratching?
It is Safe, but you can’t get the same result as V10 absolute on hardwood floor.
Do you need to send it back after review?
185 AW of suction when its set to boost mode? Thats more than the cinetic big ball animal+allergy upright. It has 180 AW
Would this work well for high piled carpet?
Are you going to do a v11 outsize?
Make a video on wertheim evolution handstick vaccum
