We talked about how the Dem party manipulates the "minorities", and the media parrots what THEY say. "Money moves the world, don't lose who you are to it". Friends of ours had both their loans paid off, they are in their late 40s. I think my buddy's wife had $40K left, but he makes $300k a year, they were just paying the minimum. So Biden pays off the loan of a 1 percenter, we laugh about it but we're at the same time furious, because we're all paying for it.

The reason it’s bad for Joe to waive student loans is it’s illegal. The Supreme Court told him he couldn’t do it and he did it anyway. Additionally, we as tax payers are paying billions of dollars that we cannot afford. A lot of us have paid our loans off and loans for our children. This also forces people who never went to college to pay for people who made the choice to go. If someone made the choice to go to college and take out a loan, they should be responsible for paying it back.
Absolutely! People are not used to giving up certain things to pay off debt anymore. I paid back my student loans over a ten year period. When I first got an apartment, I bought used furniture, had no TV for quite a while and ate a lot of Kraft mac and cheese.
It took my husband and I 10 years to pay off our student loans and barely squeaked by many times. It was hard! We shared an old Mazda to get to our jobs, rarely went out even for a hamburger, and we usually wore thrift store clothes. We paid them all off ourselves, though. I don't begrudge any hard working American for getting help occasionally but it seems to me student loans shouldn't have made it on the list for help. Like you said, getting a loan is a choice! I wonder if Slow Joe would make hard working American tax payers pay off my mortgage?
I always thought that if politicians really wanted to help pay off student loans, they should've just lowered or canceled the interest on the loans. Then, people can actually pay their loans down faster.

Before his Presidential run, Trump played both sides of the aisle (he's been a supporter of both Democrats and Republicans over the years), and until around 2011 or so, was usually paying into the Democrat party more than the Republicans (even if just "slightly"). Before his office run, he was quoted as saying "it's smart to make/have friends across the board" and as a businessman, having the ear of political leaders in the two major parties is just an investment. Something changed around 2010/11 though, and he started making more direct comments about considering running for the office. Which is where a couple branching stories come from. There's the now debunked claim that He made a statement in an interview in 1998 that if he ran he'd run Republican. This one is cited a lot because he was falsely credited as saying something like "because Republicans are stupid", even though it was debunked by even Reuters (2020) and CNN (2016). Personally, I think whatever soured him on the Democrat party around 2010 is the real reason. When you add how the DNC treated popular "outsider" candidates in the last 4 or 5 election cycles, if he really wanted to win, I don't think he had a real choice to go any other path.

My husband and I have been paying our student loans of $40,000 total for the last 25 yrs and still owe $9,000. Reason why, we can only afford the minimum payment of $300/month. We are fine paying our debt off, bcs that is the American way and you don't borrow money you can't pay back! I have applied for the forgiveness to see what would happen. Even though I met ALL requirements, no forgiveness. So not sure who's getting the money. Such a joke!

One of the many issues with the student loans is that the Supreme Court says it was illegal but he did it anyway. And yes, it’s definitely to buy votes.

I've been paying since around 2003, borrowed just under 13k, paid over 16k back already, and still owe just under 5k. Nothing for me has been canceled.

Friends of ours had both their loans paid off, they are in their late 40s. I think my buddy's wife had $40K left, but he makes $300k a year, they were just paying the minimum. So Biden pays off the loan of a 1 percenter, we laugh about it but we're at the same time furious, because we're all paying for it.

The reason it’s bad for Joe to waive student loans is it’s illegal. The Supreme Court told him he couldn’t do it and he did it anyway. Additionally, we as tax payers are paying billions of dollars that we cannot afford. A lot of us have paid our loans off and loans for our children. This also forces people who never went to college to pay for people who made the choice to go. If someone made the choice to go to college and take out a loan, they should be responsible for paying it back.
Absolutely! People are not used to giving up certain things to pay off debt anymore. I paid back my student loans over a ten year period. When I first got an apartment, I bought used furniture, had no TV for quite a while and ate a lot of Kraft mac and cheese.
It took my husband and I 10 years to pay off our student loans and barely squeaked by many times. It was hard! We shared an old Mazda to get to our jobs, rarely went out even for a hamburger, and we usually wore thrift store clothes. We paid them all off ourselves, though. I don't begrudge any hard working American for getting help occasionally but it seems to me student loans shouldn't have made it on the list for help. Like you said, getting a loan is a choice! I wonder if Slow Joe would make hard working American tax payers pay off my mortgage?

Before his Presidential run, Trump played both sides of the aisle (he's been a supporter of both Democrats and Republicans over the years), and until around 2011 or so, was usually paying into the Democrat party more than the Republicans (even if just "slightly"). He was even a contributor to the Clintons, through both their charity and political campaigns. Before his office run, he was quoted as saying "it's smart to make/have friends across the board" and as a businessman, having the ear of political leaders in the two major parties is just an investment.
Something changed around 2010/11 though, and he started making more direct comments about considering running for the office. Which is where a couple branching stories come from.
There's the now debunked claim that He made a statement in an interview in 1998 that if he ran he'd run Republican. This one is cited a lot because he was falsely credited as saying something like "because Republicans are stupid", even though it was debunked by even Reuters (2020) and CNN (2016).
Personally, I think whatever soured him on the Democrat party around 2010 is the real reason. When you add how the DNC treated popular "outsider" candidates in the last 4 or 5 election cycles, if he really wanted to win, I don't think he had a real choice to go any other path.

It was a call to bring back the death penalty for those who would commit heinous crimes like the one they were accused of. The ad never mentions the Central Park 5 at all. The problem with "canceling" student loans, is SOMEONE has to pay it.
Which is me/us the taxpayers. I paid for all my stuff. You borrow the money, pay it back.
I worked with a lady who was a liberal Democrat. While she leaned towards Marxist - she would have objected to the tag. One day she said that these student loans were ridiculous. “Society gets as much benefit as the student” according to her. I know she’d be giddy if all loan repayments were “canceled”. Like Mary these Dims don’t realize they’re Marxist or at least won’t admit it. Glad that job didn’t last.

I've been paying since around 2003, borrowed just under 13k, paid over 16k back already, and still owe just under 5k. Nothing for me has been canceled.

Why the college educated. I could not afford to go to college. Went directly to work. Over the years I was overlooked when applying for jobs that required a degree. I could literally run circles around the college educated. Could do it all.but could not get promoted due to lack of college degree.
