- American Airlines Flight 77 that crashed into the Pentagon became the basis for one of the biggest conspiracy theories born after September 11: for the authors, no plane ever crashed into the Pentagon, it was a missile that struck, with no trace of any plane crash. Considered to be the largest "disinformation machine" to grow out of the tragedy.As part of the 10th memorial of September 11th, the objective of this film is not to revisit the logic of the conspiracy but rather cut the conspiracy right in its tracks by going back to basics of the actual events that unfolded that day... investigating the facts, tracing the timeline of the tragic morning of Tuesday, September 11th. There will also be an effort to understand the purely American point of view on this event and, why, the information gathered from the investigation left so many questions unanswered. It will be largely based on witnesses of several family members of victims. The youngest victim was 3 years old; the oldest was 71 years...The film will simply concentrate on that fateful tragic flight that included actual eyewitnesses and records before and after the crash. So we will collect five families of victims of Flight 77 and 3 families of Pentagon victims as witness. They will also let us know their stories after the Ben Laden’s death. Flight 77 will forever be considered as a metaphor of the wild rumours that ran amok on Sept. 11th.

I’ve seen so many people say that United airlines flight 93 is the one that was most forgotten, but to me, I think it’s this one. You always hear about the first two planes and the people that were on them because they were the ones with the most deaths tied to them, as well as the most shocking, as they were the first planes. You always hear about flight 93 because it’s the famous plane that never reached its target due to the passenger revolt, as well as the only one with movies specifically about that flight. I know quite a few names of passengers and flight crew off the top of my head from all three of these flights, but flight 77 is never really talked about. Not as many people died, and many of the ones that did, besides those on the plane, were military personnel, which many don’t regard with the same solemnity that they do civilians, which in turn means they get much less attention. Hearing the names of these passengers, I’m realizing I’ve never heard of any of them, and it’s just really nice to know that there’s a good documentary out there on this seemingly lesser known flight out of the four

Yup its was the one part of the attacks done that day that just stopped being talked about by the media and authorities. Other than more missing money. They dont talk about it, cause they don't want to have to answer more questions. Years and years from now, some will lable it a Mandela effect and say were remembering things incorrectly.
I think the Pentagon attack isn’t really forgotten. Once the attacks ventured outside of New York it got 10 times more terrifying. All the sudden the country was under attack and there was no safe area.
It really hit me recently how many died in Washington. I visited the Pentagon memorial a few days ago and seeing that long list of names hits you.

My lil sister worked at the pentagon. 5 years later she died of an unexpected blood clot at 34. I miss her so much. We were partners in grief over 9/11.

FYI to American viewers. This film was produced for the French television series “Histoire immédiate” by Christophe Weber and Daniel Leconte. The narration was originally in French, and this English version had its narration replaced (apparently by someone who is not a native English speaker). Some of the translation from French to English in the narration is not precise or is grammatically incorrect. But it’s not for lack of good faith effort, so we shouldn’t knock the producers over it.
The walls of the world trade center on the 78th floors were steel pillars 15 inches thick made from four sides of welded steel plate as thick as a door millions of tons of steel . No planee could fly through those walls . The tv news was showing toy fake pupoetlike video game trick photograhy movie of airplane imagery added to explosions that were purposefully used and photographed to create the damage and fire . Real planes were stolen and flown accross the atlantic to owards africa and the passengers were killed to have planes missing . But airplanes crashing cod not in anyway fly through the half meter thick steel walls of the buildings .
So you’re telling me there wasn’t a single American made documentary about this flight now I really don’t believe the story..it was prob missle …because between this light and the one that went to the field they both just really had me question the whole thing altogether because they showed a picture of what a plane looks like when it crashes into a field and it didn’t look anything like that other flight so that makes me wonder🤔🤔🤔🤔 and there wasn’t a single piece of debris they got from that accident and that was weird

Psychologists say that those who believe in conspiracy theories do so because those theories act as a sort of “security blanket” that the believer can use to reassure themselves that they are the ones who actually know what’s happening, and that they’re the ones who are smart enough to figure it all out, so they’re definitely too smart for anything like this to happen to them. I hope your theories make you feel safer, as easily disprovable as they may be with even the slightest bit of evidence based information.

When those people died on the flight they went to Heaven since they were especially to close to someone. While Heaven the flight attendants and pilots and the passengers are happy and content in Heaven. There is one small thing they are not with their special person who loved them on Earth and each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. Then the day comes when the family members and friends end up in heaven and the passengers and crew and flight attendants will look into the distance. Their eye are full of intent and the body began to quiver. Suddenly they run over to their loves one. When they and their family and friends meet. They will cling together in joyful reunion. The happy kisses will rain upon their face and the family and friends will look at the eyes of their love one so long gone from their lives but never absent from their hearts. From that point on they will be in heaven together forever.
We Americans have always had a very short memory which is why history continues to repeat itself in our country.

No camera footage from the pentagon or any store. Small hole. Big plane with untrained pilot of any large jet made square impact. Hit the part under construction. The reason to go to war was proven a lie, no weapons of mass destruction. 2 trillion missing day before. Building 7. Insurance plan taken out weeks before for terrorist attacks by owner. You said that when the hijackers turned off the transponder beacon the plane disappeared off the radar. The transponder just shows the identity of the plane, and it's flight information. The plane would still show up on a radar screen, however ATC would not be able to tell who it was, or what it was dong.

Well done! The best documentary ive seen to this day about Flight 77. Only something unimportant: The Cartoon graphics at 18:12 show Hani Hanjour (green T-Shirt) with a knife in his hand. Of course its speculative, but most probably the four pilots Mohamed Atta (Flight 11), Marwan al-Shehhi (Flight 175), Hani Hanjour and Ziad Jarrah (Flight 93) stayed in their seats and the others took over the cockpit. It would have been to risky should they get hurt by trying to help to overpower the cabine crew and pilots, because only they knew how to fly a plane.
Hanjour and al-Shehhi never spoke a word, but Atta and Jarrah were both recoreded. And since the people from Flight 93 said the plane was hijacked by 3 guys, its very likely they never saw Jarrah since he never stood up from his seat before the other 3 took over the plane (Flight 93 had only 4 Terrorists overall).
The said little of Barbara Olson. They said she worked on CNN when in fact she was a conservative guest analyst on all the cable news stations.
It has become known that there was no call from Mrs Olsen.In 2001 btw reception was impossible above 8000 feet
Robert Dambeck I think they were deliberately trying to highlight those people who were not covered very much in the many documentaries. So they would obviously focus less on Ms. Olson, there has been a lot of coverage of her due to her highly respected status in DC and her relationship with major news networks.

Olson called her husband Theodore and told him about the hijacking, the quote “did the passengers have any idea what was happening in New York City? Most likely not” well, first of all Barbra Olson called her husband and said that the hijackers had knives and that the pilots were directly beside or behind her, and second of all, her husband told her about the wtc attacks in NYC, last of all, she asked the captain what should we do and I think all the passengers knew what was coming from where Barbra Olson called from (right side economy row she was in 3e in first class)

That animation at 26:20 gives me a better indication of how it looked at the Pentagon - since there is no footage of it, I could not imagine it, and I do hear about this incident a lot less - The Pentagon is a larger building than I imagined - the crash scene always looked small, I had no idea of the scale of the building compared to the plane crash. Now I understand.
Its a pity one of the most surveilled places on earth has not one photograph of that "plane" coming in, or hitting the pentagon.

IMO flight 77 was the least documented of them all, flight 175 too, but we rarely heard anything from this one!
The fact that as flight 175 is flying towards the south tower, the shadow cast on it makes it even more ominous!
The world of flight must have been so innocent at that time (I'm shocked that box-cutter knives were allowed in planes at the time even though I remember flying as a teenager and obviously thinking anything even a nail cutter was dangerous)
It wasn't documented for good reason. Because it wasn't 77 that hit the pentagon. It was a drone. All surrounding video footage was taken by FBI and never released.

The saddest part is that three of the kids on this flight didn't even have their parents with them. They were going on an educational trip. Hopefully their teachers and some other adults on the flight were at least able to comfort them in their last moments 😭

They were allowed blades up to 4 inches. Didn't make much sense to me either, considering that even if they were needed for work, utility knives and the like, are inexpensive and can be purchased at many stores. No reason to fly with one. Also, we share the same birthday. 9/11 happened the day before my 16th birthday. Definitely didn't feel like celebrating that year.

At 18.44 in the video it states that the transponder was turned off and AA77 completely disappeared from radar.. I'm sorry to tell you but that would only turn off the planes identity and altitude... it does not make a plane completely vanish from the screen as depicted.
They touch in on that in many of these documentaries. It makes the planes harder to track.
As soon as the transponder was turned off and plane changed heading a fighter jet should of been in the air to take a look.. same with MH370...

@@adrianoalmeida3120 two days after the event, I saw a series of photos taken within the area of the Pentagon that had been struck. One of those photos clearly show the main landing gear legs, and I can see in my minds eye the BOEING engineering drawing of that particular shape of the upper part of the gear that the hydraulic cylinder's actuator attached to. I had been working on that very drawing the previous week. My task was taking the 2D drawing and using it to create a 3D model of that landing gear component.
Considering where the Pentagon is and that this happened in 2001, that may very well be the only video they have of the plane hitting the Pentagon. Unlike the World Trade Center, the Pentagon isn't close to an area that has apartment buildings close by where people in 2001 could take out their video cameras they had at home and start recording from their home windows. It's mostly surrounded by roads and highways with other buildings in the far distance that can't even see the Pentagon unless you're on a hill as it's flat to the ground. Sure in 2020 you would expect somebody driving by on the highway might whip out their cell phone video and record a plane suddenly coming down, but that wasn't a reality in 2001. Cell phones didn't have standard video recording like they do now and most people didn't travel on the highway with their late 90s/early 2000s video cameras.

l just watched a documentary on flight 77, it said that a cockpit on a plane is now bullet proof, my question is some planes are quite old, we're the cockpits on all planes altered after 9/11, l was also wondering the black box locater in the cockpit that you can switch on and off, is that also altered on every plane?

I used to carry a Swiss Army Knife on planes all the time. Never gave it a second thought.
That is just one more piece of a soggy cover story. There were no hijackers. And knives were not allowed on planes in 2001.
18:44 I never understood why the pilot even had the option to turn off the transponder it’s not their plane, so it shouldn’t be an option for them to turn it off even if they wanted to anyway, that never made sense to me. And it probably would’ve made a big difference in the situation like this where they could’ve been intercepted faster.

They are simply asking why CCTV videos were confiscated from gas stations and hotels on the morning of 9/11 and why they have never been released to the public to prove a plane crashed into the Pentagon the hotel was a live stream and its camera was facing a carpark which overlooked the pentagon.
There were 5 cameras at the Gas station and only 1 was released which shows nothing.
Finally the 1 frame per second that you state from the Pentagon which showed nothing. The pentagon is one of the most CCTV buildings in the world and not one bit of footage shows a plane crashing... Fishy is all.

Well-written, poignant documentary that puts faces on the tragedy and the families devastated. Very exacting and thorough, thoughtful work. Obviously, thousands of hours put into it. (Funny, the only thing that kept distracting me was the narrator’s “American” accent, and me trying to figure it out, lol. “What’s different about his Southern accent?” Minimal, but there - something unidentifiable. Being a Southerner, as well as someone fascinated by linguistics, I couldn’t get past it. Just something off about the pronunciation of a word here and there, or a tiny grammar glitch. Then i thought ?Texan who’s childhood was in France? Québécois? Was driving me crazy, hahaha. Very surprised to find out the narrator was French (didn’t know his name initially), with his English pronunciation being near-native. In any case, son anglais est très bien meilleur que mon français, bien sûr, lol !!). Bien fait!!

Im not gunna get into specifics, and I know this is here say, but I know a guy with connections to FDNY and NYPD. He said many within had a “field day” colllecting and taking home “momentos” from the WTC debris. From small, 10” I beams that weighed 60 pounds to thick pieces of glass, to handguns, ID and credit cards, even jewelry. You name it, much of it was taken home by these folks. In other words, not everything that was found and collected in the debris of the twin towers was handed in to be examined and/or returned to the loved ones of the deceased. Not saying all of them did this, but many, many did.
It's a little weird that there's cameras everywhere around the Pentagon, but only one sees the airplane 🛩

How In the fuck can the narrator say that Flight 77 was the most devastating blow to America?!?!? When A.) I have never seen any actual proof of a plane hitting the pentagon and B.) Even if one did there were only around 120 people loss (RIP) in the attack on the pentagon. Yet we loss 2,795 people in the attacks on the world trade centers and many more lives in the years to come due to illnesses caught during the search and rescue? And the black box issue, I did a project with a group on this conspiracy- read an article about black boxes some day and maybe you would know that they are only tested to withstand 1,000 degrees of heat for one hour, but the pentagon burned for several hours at what's said to be a high temperature.

Great Video, BUT… there is one confirmed thing that has never been disclosed openly and that is the fifth plane that never got to take off and the passenger/terrorists left all of their on board luggage and escaped in the terminal when it went back to the Gate… the flight controllers mentioned it a few times, but we never hear anything about the fifth plane…

Why in the world does a vital aviation instrument called a transponder ever have a need to be turned off? Why is one installed to begin with if it isn't necessary throughout a flight? Something sounds stupid here.
As with any avionics on an aircraft it has a power switch and a circuit breaker. The transponder send a coded signal to radar which is then displayed on the screen giving vital flight information. This allows the radar controllers to track the flight from start to finish. Each flight is assigned a specific code which specifies that flight and that flight only. There are 3 codes used 7500, 7600, 7700 that are used for emergency, radio failure, and hijacking. By turning the transponder off, the aircraft becomes nothing more than an unknown blip on the radar screen with no one knowing who it is.

The attackers, as private pilots, were completely out of their league in the cockpits of those 757s and 767s; however they were not setting out to perform single-engine missed approaches or Category-3 instrument landings with a failed hydraulic system - or to land at all. They were setting out to steer an already airborne jetliner, in perfect weather, into the side of a building. Though, for good measure, Mohammed Atta and at least one other member of his group did buy several hours of simulator training on a Boeing 727 (this was not the same type of jet used in the attacks, but it didn’t need to be).
Additionally they obtained manuals and instructional videos for the 757 and 767, available from aviation supply shops. Hani Hanjour’s flying was exceptional only in its recklessness. If anything, his loops and spirals above the nation’s capital revealed him to be exactly the shitty pilot he by all accounts was. To hit the Pentagon squarely he needed only a bit of luck, and he got it. Striking a stationary object - even a large one with five beckoning sides - at high speed and from a steep angle is very difficult. To make the job easier, he came in obliquely, tearing down light poles as he roared across the Pentagon’s lawn. If he’d flown the same profile ten times, seven of them he’d probably have tumbled short of the target or overflown it entirely.
As for those partisan pilots known to chime in on websites, take them with a grain of salt. As somebody who flies 757 and 767s for a living, I think my testimony carries some weight. Flight 93 is the most forgotten, and should be the one at the forefront. What those people did was heroic. But it’s easily the most forgotten because of what happened at the World Trade Center. Which I understand, over 3,000 people were killed there, including hundreds and hundreds of first responders. But the Pentagon had the most impact because it was a symbol of the United States Department of Defense. Many high ranking military members lost their lives. If we want to rank on what impact these had, in my opinion the impact would be
Pentagon, Flight 93, Flight 11, and Flight 175. But Flight 93 saved lives. Sure those on board were killed, but if they didn’t take action, who knows what the next target was, White House? Capitol Building? And who knows, they could have gone after Andrews Air Force base. I don’t think the highjackers knew that the President was in Florida. Had he been in Washington D.C., They could have gone after Andrews and severely cripple the air transportation of the President.
It’s so heart wrenching to think of all those souls lost that day. The towers, planes, the ground, fireman, emt, just good people trying to help, everyone.

I was at the Pentagon 911 memorial..the youngest passenger was born in 1998. Each person had their own bench with their names embedded. I sat there for hours in complete shock at what has happened there. A very emotional experience.
No plane debris, no bodies, no luggage, no plane gear, no seats or signs of a plane.
The Youngest was born on February 22, 1999. Her name is Christine Lee Hanson. They said Gen Z were identified as those who are not fully aware of the magnitude of 9/11 and who were not yet born before it (1995-2015). Little did most know that the youngest victim was a Gen Z child who could 've been in college or a graduate now.

I’ve seen many stories about the people of Flights 11, 175 and 93 and of course the horror inside the towers but this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything regarding this flight and the stories of the poor souls on it. 🙏🙏🙏💕I feel this is very much the forgotten flight and the forgotten victims.

If the attacks had happened just a month or two earlier during the summer (or during some other school holiday) then there probably actually would have been a lot of kids killed on the planes, and possibly in the south tower as well, depending on the time of day. The observation deck was located in the south tower and certainly attracted tourists and families. Luckily it never opened to the public on 9/11, since it normally didn't open until 9:30 a.m. and the first plane struck at 8:46. But September is an unusual time for kids and families to be going on vacation and traveling on planes, since kids have just started back at school. So that's really the reason why there weren't that many children killed in the attacks. But there were still eight children total who died, which is really sad because even one is too many.
All these years later, I still get sick to my stomach knowing what these dear people must have gone through. Losing a loved one in such a horrendous way is unimaginable. I still grieve for the pain and suffering these people went through, and their lost loved ones.

My high school language arts teacher lost his brother on this flight, he wrote an excerpt for one of those chicken soup for the soul books about his brother how he thought his brother would've gone to the back of the plane to try to cheer up the children that were on the flight.
This documentary is so important. This is the frist documentary on Flight 77 and I really appreciate it.
Thank you for posting this documentary, it was incredible to watch. I had the honor of being part of a family member tour of the pentagon months earlier as a 15 year old and will never forget the little museum room near the construction area or the view of the courtyard from it. There was so little information about the pentagon after it was hit and I always wondered if the little museum area was destroyed too.
My father was in the pentagon that day as a full bird army colonel and he had been working there for over a year by then. It was tough seeing the second plane hit in my high school first period class and then immediately seeing the pentagon also hit. The rest of the day was a daze for me because I was angry at myself that I couldn't remember which side of the building my dad worked on and I was terrified I had lost him. My dad ended up being ok, and the story he told about that day was so wild. They were evacuated and had to leave everything in the building even though he wasn't on the side that was hit but that meant no cell phone so it took him hours to find a pay phone to call my mom and let her know he was okay. Additionally, he told us there had been a meeting in the area where the plane crashed that was held by people he knew and it had been optional for him to attend. Many of the casualties in the building were people who had been in the meeting. He talked about the smell too when he went back for his personal items a day or two later. For years, when my sibling's kids learned about September 11th in school, my dad would volunteer to go in and talk to the schools about his story of what happened that day but I'm honestly just glad he didn't go to that meeting that day.
I hope we never forget the people lost that day in all of the planes and places attacked.
I just want to point out that United 175 was the one that people saw crash on live TV. Not American 11. Media picked up AA 11 crashing about 5 minutes after it happened.

Being 7 years old in 3rd grade in an elementary school in Maryland at the time we heard what sounded like thunder. Our teacher opened the door and looked outside and it wasn't a cloud in site. Then we turned on the TV and realized what happend. It always disturbs me till this day that what we heard with our own ears was the ending of 100s of lives.
I was in 6th in SoMd at the time. I remember we got out early and about 5 or 6pm we were on our back deck this was when all planes were still grounded, we saw air force one fly rite over.

This is how I felt about flight 77. But I think its because none of the families was able to reach out to their family, due to everything was disconnected from the cockpit. The animals that over took that plane was very experienced and how to cut communication off from the whole plane

At 4:12, Hani Hanjour. I know it doesn't really matter but I've seen the security footage of him going through the checkpoint and he was really wearing a WHITE shirt and BLACK pants. They are right about him knowing how to fly a plane. Out of all 4 of the hijackers that flew the planes, he was the most experienced, he had learned how to fly a plane even before joining Al-Qaeda and when he came to the United States, he refreshed his memory while the other 3 started learning how to fly a plane.
The other 3 pilot hijackers were sloppy with their flying, according to information given. Plus, they each made mistakes while in control of the cockpit. Both Mohamed Atta(AA11) and Ziad Jarreh(UA93) attempted to contact the passengers but pressed the wrong buttons and contacted Air Traffic Control instead, causing them to blow their cover a little. Marwan al-Shehhi(UA175) made the mistake of leaving the transponder on, allowing him to be tracked until he crashed. Hanjour was more familiar with the controls, he turned off the transponder. According to a phone call made by a passenger, Hanjour did announce to the passengers that the plane had been hijacked but apparently ATC didn't hear it, so he must've known the right communication buttons to press.

My cousin Art Powell died at the Pentagon. He was a civilian worker and I believe it was a moth before positive ID of his remains were made. I along with a large group of family traveled there for his memorial service. I remember going to a hotel where there was a room with pictures and stories of the victims at the Pentagon. It was so sad and surreal and I always felt no one ever talks about these victims. I faintly remember something being said about a group of children aboard flight 77 on a trip but could never find details. Thank you for not forgetting these victims too. I visited the Pentagon a moth later it was chilling and have since gone to his bench at the Pentagon 911 Memorial which is a beautiful tribute to all the victims of FLIGHT 77 and Pentagon.❤
