Grinding to unlock abilities sucks ass! Seems that they're even more rare/difficult to get than epic gears. They should just make in-game store n allow us to buy them with the in-game currency (any currency except source crystal ofc)

+Savitar: The god of speed Maybe there is. It's just I never see it (yet). All I see uptil now is the events that unlock his epic gears. But I suggest you try to focus on any multiverse events that rewards you with gold or platinum boxes as they'll give you more chance (luck) to unlock certain abilities. That's my best tip for you. i finally got the nightwing staff with the event that lasted 2 hours to unlock a random ability... i have ALL abilities for every characters .... finally... ill do a video tonight
you have to equip it when you customize your chacrter in the purple slot section. then go into the moves list when your fighting to see the command for it

There's another way to get them. There's always a multiverse planet where it only has one mission and that's beating the boss. Pay attention to how credits they ask for. If it cost 150,000 to do the challenge then you get a random ability as a reward along with a platinum box for completing that multiverse. You can do the challenge once every time it appears though. Meaning you have to wait for another one to appear in its place
Yeah it's a pain in the ass. Even though you get a sidekick and an assist I suggest you use someone that can shoot projectiles. The CPU starts off with temporary armor. It's random but you're guaranteed an ability

Only the staff is from the Nightwing gear set, the mask, chest piece, arms and legs are look a likes

They are a lot more common as epics though. Today, I got 3 abilities, which is far more common than in the past.
