Very nice Matt 👍🏻. I did see you flying in one of Andrews videos and thought to myself, Matt will be doing a slope video soon and here is. 👍🏻 Slope soaring is a great sport when the wind is playing ball 👍🏻
matt i bought the powered version a month ago and been too busy to get it built after watching this tho im gonna get on it this weekend ive already ordered the 900mm version and a ton of led,s to wack inside it for those autumn evening flights cant wait to get it built now.....great vid mate cant wait for the build vid
It's actually the site of an Iron Age fort. It's not the biggest of slopes but it's shape and the fact that the land infront is sloping away for miles helps concentrate the available wind.
Built a G-Blink myself noticed the hatch not fitting very well did you forget to cut the 2 formers in the hatch that was a bit of the build i nearly missed.
Leave the hatch to last and make it fit before laminating. You do need to cut down to make it fit, I used a Dremel and a disk/plate to do that. Also no magnets for me, just some belenderm tape and a friction fit. Hope that helps! Matt
Very pretty looking model! YES adding a motor was my first thought. Possibly a small fpv setup. So this same model there is a build option to add a motor? (Slope soaring looks like SO MUCH fun! Alas Im a terrible LOS pilot : ( )
I have an FPV proposal. There is nothing more cool than landing FPV. It heightens the experience because things are happening, and the ground is coming up, and it is total immersive experience. Here is the proposal: FPV landing with PAPI lights that shoots the landing decent approach. PAPI lights would give you the proper glide descent angle. I have not yet seen any youtubers make a PAPI light FPV landing approach video. I just think that would be so neat. ===== I personally have not flown rc in 20 years, but I am looking at the turbo timber with its flaps and slats and I want to do FPV touch and go.By the way, PAPI lights are not hard to make. It doesn’t even have to be a ‘light’ It can just be visible white and red paint that is half covered (ie the red is covered up at a certain visual angle and the white at another angle). PAPI lights. ===== So, what do you think? Would you ever consider a PAPI light landing FPV video? Thx.
It was a very predictable model to fly and penetrated better in the gusty conditions than a model of it's size and weight has any right to. I tried several loops and it did just flop over at the top. You also had to be ready to catch it if just slowly cruising the slope edge as a gust of wind could easily pick a wing up and roll the model into the edge
Looks all laser cut Lite Ply to me Matt...Good to see you enjoying some real basic model making instead of those foamy shit models from China...PS...Rule No1...don't point your camera into the sun, especially a GoPro with terrible dynamic range..lol .🤔😮😳😀🇬🇧 See me for some lines...😀
Love watching your stuff Matt, learnt a lot from you over the years. Sad to see you are not so active these days. Hope the paragliding is going well.👍
I have the electric version of this model and it's bonkers! Great fun!
Very nice Matt 👍🏻.

Hi been watching your channel recently, will you ever make anymore videos?
Nice plane!, all my FPV planes are balsa, they are lighter than foamies and my own designs so have stuff where I want it.
Matt do inav 3.0.2 videos, you pioneer Inav and stop. We miss you.
Howdy Max, there is nothing in 3.02 that interests me to upgrade from 2.6.1, so I've not even looked at it. Matt
