- "I broke the covenant of the keys."
From Seinfeld Season 3 Episode 23, 'The Keys': Jerry is fed up with Kramer's coming into his apartment any time he feels like it and asks him to return his spare set of keys. Kramer begrudgingly complies but then lets it be known that he's leaving for California. As for the others, the one key swap leads to multiple exchanges on pretty well everyone's part. When Jerry forgets his keys, he gets George to let him into Elaine's apartment so he can get his spare set. What they find interests them.

About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

Jerry: "You scared me",
Kramer: "It's' just me!"
Jerry: "That's enough"😂😂😂😂
One of the few times Jerry actually shows emotion
I was going to make the exact same comment. Is Jerry actually acting here?!
He actually showed emotion pretty regularly in the early seasons. It's the later seasons when Jerry (and the whole cast, really) became a sociopath.
That's weird I was going to say the same thing but when he says to Catherine Keener "well why don't we just break up before we really hate each other"
That was Jerry Seinfeld forgetting to act😄
@@Josh-cw8byI think the opposite that's normal for TV shows because we often remember them from when they've become parodies of themselves in later seasons and tributes. - Media psychology of me
😂G😅😅😢😊😅😅@@guyfaux900😊😅
Kramer makes a very good philosophical point in the end.
This is like the only episode Kramer knocked on the Jerry's door before entering 😂😂
Man is the king of chaotic comedy.
First time in the first episode he did aa well.
4:48 Kramer roasting George without any purpose 😂😂
I broke the covenants of the key, was epic lol 😂😂😂
😂 One of my faves. And when Kramer knocks at the door for the first time, it's even more hilarious. 😅😅😅😅
When Jerry pulls out those keys 😅
Gucci just slides down the wall and Kramer doesn't help her up. 😀 It was smooth/awkward...like they really collaborated on that move. It was beautiful.
👍. 😄. 2:26
think that's the same actress who was in the "cigar store indian" episode
@@terrellp22
Yes.
C.K. Steefel played Kramer's gal
in this episode ("The Keys"),
and played in the
"Cigar-Store Indian" episode.
Living in shadow like you, george.😂
…me?
Oh yeah, I can barely see you George
@@cursedbeats9934 …alright, stop it Kramer. You’re freaking me out.
Kramer is another level 🤣💯👍

The Keys and the following 2 part episode of The Trip are my favourite episodes.
For a small moment Kramer behaved like Feldman.
from across the hall?
"up here ... im already gone..."
Stop it Kramer! You're freaking me out.
I broke the covenant of the keys.
1:06 Why would Jerry want that towel back after it's been in contact with Kramer's... _boys?_ 😧
Never thought of that, very good point!
😄. He knew Kramer
would never return it.
😅😅
I'm sure he threw it away when Jerry a germ freak 😂
3:17 I love Kramers shirt in this scene
That is a cool shirt huh
This is the prefect and best show ever. Amazing casting and storylines
Agreed 🤝
Nah
What prefecture does it work in?
@edmerc92 your life must be miserable. It will get better one day lil man...your the word correct youtube police. Congrats. I'm sure u never make a mistake.
Id honestly like a neighbor like Kramer. It'd never be boring
No, you absolutely won't like it, trust me.
You can't keep yourself entertained or occupied?
So you don't do ANYTHING because you can keep yourself occupied? ♿♿♿@@bossfan49
Oh yeah...I can barely see you, George 😅
"I'm from Wichita, so..." is a great understated joke.
Reference to BTK.

Newman: Hello, boys.
George: Ohh!
Jerry: Hello, Newman.
Newman: You lookin' for someone?
Jerry: Don't play coy with me, Newman, I'm not in the mood!
Newman: Coy? I'm not being coy.
Jerry: Is he being coy?
George: Yeah, coy.
Jerry: You're being coy. Now where's Kramer, Newman?
Newman: Who?
Jerry: Listen, tiny. I wanna know where Kramer is and wanna know now!
Newman: Alright, go ahead and hit me, Seinfeld. I got witnesses.
Jerry: Turn around, George.
George: Sure.
Newman: George?
Are you a transcriber by trade?
😶 WOW…how’d you do that??? 🤓
The girl Kramer's with....George cut her, too, in his parents' bed. 😂
Kramer 😂
Kramer's dressing sense was subtly aesthetic ngl imo
Gucci ends up working at her fathers antique shop in Queens a few years later…
yea I figured that was the same actress
2:05 - Gucci in the back checking her texts in 1993! 😄
Pretty sure that's a makeup compact. 😀
Interested, predictions future.
it was makeup kit
She was going to interview at the antique store later that day and had to look her best,
wasn t it a mirror?
"that's enough 🤣🤣"
Jerry should keep his apartment door open, to encourage intruders.
Oh stop it Kramer your freaking me out.
I was clinging to those keys, man, like a branch on the banks of a raging river, and now I have let go and I'm free to go with the current, to float, and I thank you.
Kramer IS Seinfeld.
“I’m from Wichita.” Umm so is BTK
And the Carr brothers; serial r@pists and murderers.
First time: frightening, but just in and out.
Second time: clogged drain, had a legit reason.
Third time: …okay, now you’re just abusing your privilege.
3:39 Flooded
OMG, you guys ended the clip before the best part....up here, I'm already gone.
"..alright Kramer, you're freakin' me out here."
Kramer: Do you have any conceivable reason for getting up in the morning?
George, on the verge of tears: I like to get the Daily News.
"You ever yearn?"
Do you ever yearn?
Great episode
2:03, the same woman that George slept with, is with Kramer. Her and the bald woman really get around.
Kramer was the ultimate abuser 😂😂
Lord of the keys
I'm free

and I thank you.
Looks like a lot of work, but I liked it. I respect people who enjoy the finer things in life. I need to get all that gear.
I just wanted to reach through the screen and punch kramer this whole episode 😂
He's so annoying.
1:24 Witchita had BTK!!
No one laughed at their argument, but the writing there was a thing of beauty
Is just me.. is just me the CEO of Kramerica Industries
Dat Cosmo
Isnt that the girl that was with George the cigar indian episode?
yes - same actress C. K Steefel / Carissa Channing /
unless there's an emergency, i've never understood the concept of going into someone else's home unannounced like you also live there. even with my girlfriend's key i still preferred to knock and have her let me in. boundaries, people.
Seinfeld is not the only *documentary* showing this: Friends also shows the exact same thing. Great *documentary.*
@@redacted2275 maybe it's just a NY thing?
Depends on how free you are about people popping in. I agree, I don’t like people showing up unannounced. Sometimes people just won’t take a hint you don’t want them over all the time like Marie and Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond.
@@michaelweston2285Kramer thing

Was the Wichita joke a BTK inside joke?
I believe it was.
@@bossfan49 that’s what I’m thinking lmao been pondering this for over 20 years 😭
Was it? I was in college in Kansas in when he was out there, Seinfeld ended before that right?
@@gerggerggy7757 The murders all occurred between '74 and '91. There were ongoing investigations but he wasn't captured until 2005. He began his communications with the media in 2004, so the name BTK hadn't been used up until then.

The covenant of the keys..
I have a Kramer at my house that has keys🤣🤣 i call him my son 🤣🤣
Yearn ? Or crave? Choose one
0:49-0:50 The keys slide off the table, I wonder if that was an intentional joke
At 2:30 it's TACKLEBERRY !!!!!
sometimes it's almost like Kramer is doing the guy who played Kramer in the show when they went to NBC...we had a mayor Kramer in Burbank and he looked alot like John Astin who once played Gomez Adams.
How do you not show when Kramer throws his keys back
🤣🤣🤣
Has Kramer never heard of the corner store. Jerry feeds him constantly. Funny til you really think about it. And Kramer invited friends to Jerry's apt and watches Jerry's TV. What about his own place. Truly comedy
Kramer buys fruit. But he doesn't have a fridge
At the corner store you have to pay...
I can barely see you George
Everyone can relate or has been in at least 2 of Seinfeld episodes lol
Elaine: I don't know. I'll hide 'em. at 2:48 LOL
Probably the most normal looking girlfriend jerry ever had
Fun Fact: Spencer Tracey is canon in the Seinfeld-verse.
Wow, no one's talking about how this cop is crazy
I once gave someone a spare key to my apartment and I ended up regretting it because they got very intrusive in my life and my home
Was his name Kramer by any chance? 😅

Hmm. I’m gonna say false if you count the episode where Jerry has to teach Kramer how to take a shower.

Alright then
Was George jealous of the fact that Kramer had more access to Jerry than him? 🥨
No, just confused to where this conversation was going.

Jerry was very conceding to kramer. Kramer always got a wide berth with jerry on his stupid actions but jerry always made snide remarks on geroge and sarcasm was always there. Though i didnt like george he was always ranting for no reason
