I have never seen a pet store like that in my life! Huge!! That Stingray tank! Amazing!! Thank you so much Kev for sharing this! I am fortunate to live so close to That Pet Place. I love their store. They have tons of fish. They have lots of Cichlids. Most are small for grow out, and you need to ask and look closely if they are male or females. Their substrate selections are extensive . Thanks for sharing your visit. I use lots of Seachem products
This was a GREAT video. I could feel the love from the people of PA coming through. It’s clear the channel has a wide reach and that definitely benefits Seachem. You are a great ambassador for the brand. 👍
Kev you were the reason why i felt confident going into saltwater. I started my saltwater tank with Fish and Rock only using all of the equipment and principles that you teach for African Cichlids. All that saltwater equipment comes in handy when you have certain corals. All I purchased was salt and an RODI system for filtered water. After that Water changes, water changes, water changes because i just don’t want my saltwater fish to survive. I want them to thrive!
That was high tech setup you saw there Kev. You don’t have to have that. I have a low-med tech 65 all in one system. Keep this in mind though Kev. .. once you go salt, you will slowly loose interest in fresh - I did. Cheers bro.
Great video… I live in York, PA about 30 minutes away. I just found your channel after my son bought me a tank for Christmas. First tank in about 20 years… a few things have changed. I’ve watched a lot of your videos, a lot of great info.

The stingrays are SO COOL! I wish I lived in that area! I mean, I do live near the Wet Spot in Oregon, so that makes up for it I guess. I have a question though: If I have a fish tank with crushed coral in the filter, will a water change cause the PH to lower to much, killing the fish? Thank you!!
@@KaveManAquatics Kev I have a question. I've been searching to find an answer. I've even looked through most of your videos because I remember seeing you do it. I'm getting a 36X18x24, 65 gallon acrylic aquarium customized. I'm putting just Mbunas in it. I want to use Carib Sea Sunset Gold sand in it as my substrate. First question is would you wash that sand before putting it in the tank or just let it clear up doing the cycling and the second question is what can I do to keep the PH up in the aquarium for the Mbunas. I know I could use the Carib Sea African Cichlid Mix instead of the Sunset Gold and my problems would be solved but I just love the color of that Sunset Gold plus it goes good with the color scheme in the room that I'm putting the aquarium in. I need help from my mentor. Thank you in advance.
We were just there Friday evening, we live about an hour away. There were a bunch of dead fish in the freshwater tanks. It was a lot better before 2020, if you know what I mean. Still worth the trip to go someplace better than the chain petstores.

I almost hyperventilated when I saw all the driftwood, rocks, and substrates! And even a place to make a mock up scape!! WHAT! I’m gonna have to make a little 2.5 hour trip soon!

I like that he's still kind of new to the media side, because his advice changes based on new information. Should probably edit some of them to reflect updates, or make one conclusive all in one video for new tank issues. I landed on the solution from him for my particular issue, but it only happened after doing a new search the next day after levels were off. I think I finally hit my last water change for a week with the ammonia turning to nitrites and mostly nitrates. 2-3 days there were frustrating with levels going up.

"Yikes" was also my first thought on the stingray touch tank. Thanks for addressing & explaining the barbs being clipped. That Pet Place is a really great, clean, proper animal husbandry store that has been around for ages. They cater to pet and people's wants and needs. They have such a wide variety of everything "pet". Thanks for the amazing tour. It was nice that you took the time to greet and do photo ops with people.
Hello sir I’m new to taking care of fish and I used API quick start and didn’t realize it doesn’t remove chlorine or chloramines so my fish died so I added some water conditioner to remove the chlorine and was wondering if I need to add all new water since I didn’t add the water conditioner till over a day later does that mean the stuff in the quick start didn’t do anything done there was chlorine in the water still or will it be fine to use the water still in it
You dont need to replace the water. A new conditioner, like Seachem Prime, will dechlorinate the water. But if you have fish in I highly recommend you use the Prime and Stability method to cycle the tank and keep the water safe. This video will be helpful! - ruclips.net/video/9Cuqylaak3E/видео.html

With Discus, it doesn't really matter. They do need some space though. Usually 10 gallons per Discus. Try adding some decor that breaks the line of sight so they can hide behind when they need to.
Great place! Not sure I like the idea of the rays having their barbs filed down though. Can't imagine that they enjoy that experience. Surely it would be better if people were told not to put their hands in the water and just enjoy them from the side,?
Then it wouldnt be a touch tank, lol Stingrays naturally shed their barbs and then they grow back. Think of it like a dog getting his nails trimmed. They dont like it but it doesnt hurt them.
@@KaveManAquatics Yeah, that's kind of my point lol. Can you imagine the amount of hand cream, moisturizer and surfactant that people have on their hands/skin nowadays? That's going in the water as people are making a grab for the fish. For that privilege, the rays get their barbs periodically removed.
Bro this place disappointed me, you need to come to Maryland house of tropics and check it out !!! Also a place in silver spring called tropical lagoon aquarium. I drive two hours to check that pet place out but the only fun part for me and my kids was petting the sting rays!! Any ways Cheers bro 🍻

I live down the block from that store I'll b there 2 marro
Nice! 😁💪
The hardest part of getting started with saltwater fish for me was getting started, took me forever because of fear of messing something up 😂
That makes me feel a lot better! Thank you 💪
Great place!
That's true, and a good point. Fortunately, they have a monster filtration system on this tank.
My man called that poor Bearded Dragon an Iguana 😂
Shows Im a fish guy huh 🤣🤣
When are you coming back to That Fish Place That Pet Place?
Hopefully soon! I'll definitely be back 😁
Bro this place disappointed me, you need to come to Maryland house of tropics and check it out !!! Also a place in silver spring called tropical lagoon aquarium. I drive two hours to check that pet place out but the only fun part for me and my kids was petting the sting rays!! Any ways Cheers bro 🍻
Sorry to hear that. I'm hoping to visit many more fish/pet shops in the future!
Those poor bettas 🥺
Where is that?
Lancaster, PA
I would have liked to have seen more fish than pics with fans. That took up about 14 minutes of the whole video.
WHAAATTT...I get material and supplies from that place for many Years ,ship to my home
Nice! 😁💪
Were some of those fish betta fish dead at 18:50??
No, some where just sitting at the bottom.
@@KaveManAquatics Oh I see. Also by the way thanks to your beginner guide and Seachem products I now have a 20 gallon community tank with guppies, a gourami, and a few platies that are thriving. Thank you for your videos.
Its funny how seachem products are in Pennsylvania but not in the state seachem is based in.......
Go ahead and grab you a saltwater tank bro. Trust me, you won't regret it.
😁💪
WHAT??? No kats??? Kevin, you were in a fantastic pet store, in a fantastic live fish room, but you never showed any of the beautiful-colorful plaecos or corries??? Don't like Katfish? I'm disappointed.
