Only thing I can tell you after watching your videos is to take more time with finer grit sand paper to get a more polished look on some of your pieces
I like your objects but something bother me, it's about the quantity of wood and resin left after turning the lathe...is there not a way to reduce the loss ? It seems that you use 1L of resin for just a micro insertion between two huge pieces of wood, to make a small ring... resin is not recyclable and polluting and the wood you are using is quite rare (amarante), and lots of forest are detroyed for nothing (I insure you that I'm not vegan or ecologist fanatic or whatever hater etc) Thanks for your effort, I hope :)
SO COOL ! A ring to match the bracelet. I can't imagine working with something that small. Another great job with the music and editing. Great video all around. Really love your work Jake. Cant wait to watch some more !
Thank you for being a sensible turner. You cut the square down to a octagon to save effort. It makes me a bit mental watching people turn more than they have to.
I actually don't have a vacuum chamber yet so pressure was my only option. Vacuum is usually for degassing molds like silicone so they do not have voids when casting in them. Pressure is used for resin casting to make the sure the epoxy gets into all the voids and compresses the bubbles to microscopic levels.
Ok. I liked the ring but have to questiont the use of blue dyed resin with purple heart wood. Never mind. I would question anything that covers up beautiful wood grain.
If you have any feedback make sure you let me know so i can improve!

Thank you Lisa for the very kind words!
Nice ring
Much appreciated 👊
Great ring! I love purple heart. I have turned pens of purple heart...
It is a great wood. Definitely will be using more of it down the road.
Cool technique! I wonder how it'd look to just shred the mating surfaces with an angle grinder.
Might have to try this one man!
Great video my friend! Thanks for sharing, was really cool! Blessings to you! 🤓👊
Thanks Tim

👍👍
Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks.
Yikes! Beautiful ring but you could of made 8 rings out of that much wood! Also was the wood stabilized?
I saved some cut offs for others 👍 This wood was not stabilized but it was a very dry hardwood.
Espetacular meu amigo. Parabéns e obrigado. 👍 👍 👍 ❤
Obrigado 👍
Amazing. I love it❗❗
Thank you!
That's really cool

Interesting video and channel! Why do you use pressure vs vacuum to off-gas the epoxy? I see this often so i know i am missing something.

Awesome ring..can you do a black wood with green resin
Thanks, sounds like a great idea! Alien style
I would love to see black wood and green resin together in a ring
Would like to have a ring like this!!!!!
😁😁😁
Are you taking orders for that ring? My husband would love that.
Not at this time, but good to know it has interest 😁
Could you inform me of what the pot you set the resin and purple heart wood in for 18hrs? And the purpose please?
Pressure pot conversion from a paint pot. Used to compress the epoxy into all the small gaps and also reduce bubbles
How do you come up with this idea? Great piece ! 🙏🇨🇦
I'm not really sure haha. I'm sure I got inspired somewhere
hey my friend i had to get a new tablet so i had to subscribe again just to let u know my friend. chris
Весь канал лайкну за титры на Русском, большое тебе спасибо. Как отблагодарить тебя?!?
Нет проблем. Надеюсь, они хорошего качества 👍
Основную информацию ты доводишь но нас, благодарю тебя!
A.mazing
Thanks! 🙂
10+
😁
I was gonna make a ring like that but I'm always high
😄
Make sure to video it if you make one. But be safe !
Why don’t you use one cup to measure and mix the resin
the cups say "Approximate" so i don't trust them, if i fill 2 cups side by side i can tell i have the same amount
all that material for something so small... omg...
You should Woodturn a Picture of your Face

Experimental piece using contrasting colors. Thanks for the feedback 👍
@@MindToMade If it helps any. Green is my favorite color. 😉
Pink is nice too. 😊
