I've a strong feeling that the ending will be Arthur dying and someone else is the real JOKER. I'm still excited to watch this movie even after all the bad reviews.
A good review. You did take your time to look at different aspects and didn‘t just go „Meeeh! They didn‘t show the Joker from the XBoxGame I am used to, this sucks!“ like so many other reviewers. I myself absolutely loved this movie, although I will agree that a few less musical numbers would have been fine. The thing is, Arthur used the escape into his fantasies, aka the musical numbers, whenever he couldn‘t deal with reality, and sometimes, it even let him see reality clearer, albeit just for a brief time. It is mainly Arthur‘s story, the Joker is the shadow that looms over him, just like the wonderful intro sequence told us right at the beginning. I loved the portrayal of Arthur‘s broken mind, his PTSD, his general struggle, and despite all that, he still clung onto hope of finding another human being he could trust - only to be let down again. Maybe it‘s this storyline that makes this movie so relatable for me, but I also thought the outcome was very clever (again, _foreshadowed_ by the intro). Absolutely loved the movie, and, despite all the hate it gets now, I am convinced it will be seen in a different light by future audiences, maybe even become a classic. along with the first one.
I agree entirely. I think the movie put a nice little bow on all the details of the first film that really deserved more attention. The Harley bit broke my heart but i think that is exactly what they intended, so... 🤷🏻 Nonetheless loved this movie. I kinda wish this was tied into the main universe thats in the works but maybe its better that we kept it short and sweet and ended on a good note. 👍🏼👍🏼
Now thats how you do a spoiler free review . I really didnt like the 1st 1 but I dnt think that this would work out for me after reading comics for years and being a hardcore Batman fan . I totally understand the point but I kind of feel that once we se everything , it loses and mystique and mystery and kinda takes away from it . Especially if you like the agent of chaos aspect . chaos cannot be controlled and continue to be chaos that changes into something else completely . I think thats the greatest thing about the character . Nolans version got it right and we barely got any of the character unfortunately . R.I.P. tp the actor who was underestimated from the start from almost everyone except Nolan and his crew Keep it up Max . Thanks for the video and your thoughts .
Phillips acknowledges that characters like Joker have consequence, because you do have the followers who aren’t just cosplaying for fun, like Lee, but will seriously misunderstood and “take the joke too far” so to speak. Playing a “Joker” creates a Joker. You become part of a cycle of violence and unrest. And it’s not cool. You don’t go out a legend, or a hero. You’re forgotten on a cold floor. So. Don’t admire people like this. Don’t act like this. That’s why Phillips doesn’t even really show the new Joker. He doesn’t want to give the kid “a moment” or treat him as special or important. He’s not the heir but the conclusion. A period rather than an exclamation point. "As a man, I'm flesh and blood, I can be ignored, I can be destroyed; but as a symbol...as a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting." - Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Great review dude 😊
It could have been so much better. With a powerhouse like WB behind you...good-enough is not good-enough!
