Think it is messed up being a developer for gaming OS platforms especially since Libretro most likely didn't give a blessing to distribute with cores that most likely are not allowed for commercial sale use.
@@slappymcphee I can understand that feedback. As you know overseas it's the wild west out there with retro gaming handheld, consoles and more every day a dozen new ones come out sold on Amazon, aliexpress, etc. Stuff like this will just keep coming from overseas.
I would love something like this specifically featuring pinball tables for the Legends Gamer Pro. I picked that up exclusively for pinball and it didn't come with a single table, and the packs which have been released so far are overpriced.
If I have a super console x king that I’m using to play games on my cabinet are you aware of a light gun that would work to play those games? Aimtrak? Sinden? Etc
PDubs, MY MAN! This is the update I've been wanting to give you for a long time. I've been working with AtGames (the past 46 days) to get my Legends Pinball fully functional (the backbox monitor wouldn't come on) and I'm happy to report, I am FINALLY FULLY enjoying my Pinball as intended! They replaced the motherboard and the full monitor backbox piece and we are now up and running baby! Thank you for all your videos on the product and it is as good as you say! AtGames took care of me! I had one quick question for you regarding CoinopsX on the Legends Pinball (and of course it doesn't involve the "Devil's Lettuce" :) ) I'm enjoying the look of the CoinOpsX app on the Legends Pinball (still waiting for the cool Joystick add-on to fully try it out), but I'm afraid it might break my Pinball table. I can't seem to find a way to turn off, or at least turn down, the exciters. The whole front panel of my Legends Pinball feels like it's going to rattle off it's hinges, because the exciters are vibrating with so much intensity. The exciters shouldn't be needed for arcade games play, so I was wondering if you knew how to turn them off in a setting? I couldn't find it. I would really like to use the CoinOpsX app available on the Legends Pinball, but I don't want to damage the table itself. If you could help me out with my CoinOps exciter issue, that would be great! Thanks as always, and again, I wanted to share the great news! I am now officially part of the AtGames fam! vgv Oh, and keeping with the theme of this video, I did buy a Super Console X Stick, it arrived in the mail today, but I'm not planning on using it on my Legends Pinball. I agree with you, CoinOpsX is a better solution when it comes to AtGames products as they made it part of their ecosystem. I actually bought the Super Console X for my projector setup. I want to see how Pac-Man looks on a 120" screen :) Have a great day!
When you are inside a table go to menu settings and scroll to the right find the haptic settings and turn them down to fix that issue. Happy to see you are up and running!!
PDubs, Thanks for the help as always :) Unfortunately, turning off the haptics on a table, didn't effect the overly excited exciters in CoinOpsX, but maybe I did something wrong. Here's what I did. I picked a table and launched it, Bonebusters, and went into the settings and set the Haptics to off. I launched a game of Bonebusters and indeed the exciters weren't vibrating any longer. I exited the table and launched CoinOpsX, but the exciters kicked in hard again and were vibrating the heck out of the front of the table as I described before. I launched an actual game in CoinOpsX and still the exciter vibration was too intense, like it was going to blow out the exciter's tiny woofers. I exited out of CoinOpsX and went back into Bonebusters to see if my changes took, and they did, the haptics were still set to off. Hopefully I'm not bothering you too much with this question, but if you have any other ideas, that would be great! I definitely want to play CoinOpsX on the Legends Pinball :) Thanks as always! vgv
I’m sure that someone could do an emuelec build that works with the trackballl and spinners. When i first hooked mine up it started in a pc mode that was all in chinese and the trackball worked as a mouse in that mode. I was a little freaked out because it seemed like it wasn’t set up for gaming at all and was just a chinese android pc (spelled andirod of course on their menus lol). I reset it and it has loaded the gaming setup since. Maybe the microsd wasn’t seated properly or something at first. It was weird though.
Hi with this console x stick, is it running games like Nebulas Ray, Viper phase 1, raiden fighters jet. Unfortunately the coinopsx builds don't run these, serious sound issues.
On the AUL 1.1, could you hook up a USB hub to the internal USB port, and run one of those flat cable HDMI from inside the cabinet to the input, giving you an almost no wire/device showing setup? If so, you could use the "box" version, if it's better than the "stick" version?
Another great review PDubs. 2 big questions - one, can you change the aspect ratio of the games to stretch and fill the entire screen ala the built-in ALU games? Related to that, if you wanted to play vertical games on the ALP using this, does this unit allow you to switch to a profile mode? Last question - do you know if the company making this is issuing any firmware updates, or is this thing "as-is"? Thanks brother, keep up the great work!
I wish I had known that the spinners and trackball did not work in OTG mode before I bought one of these cabinets. This is one of the few videos where I’ve actually seen that stated. The ALU does not live up to the hype.
The Spinners and Trackball do not work with the Super console X device in OTG mode. They do work with some other devices such as connecting your PC or laptop to the cabinet etc
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Thanks for the response. I have been trying to figure this out for a while now. I’ve seen people claim that they got them working with a raspberry pi but don’t really explain what they did to get it working. To get them working with a pc/laptop can it be done using OTG mode or does require ArcadeNet?
For anyone else looking for a solution, I found that the latest version of Batocera, v33, will support both the trackball and the spinners. Im running it on a Pi 4/400 but I imagine it would work running from a PC as well.
I just got both of these and am having some trouble...but do you need a specific type a to type a cable for it to connect the one I bought isn't working for it
I'm curious how you would play a game like Banjo Kazooie using the ALU controls when there's the need to press a button at the same time you're pulling down on the stick to perform the move?
I had ordered before the stick came out. I have some games that don't work at all. Can you help with troubleshooting for those games that aren't working or give errors when loading?
Hey PDubs can you tell me if Nebulas Ray and Viper phase 1 run well on this stick with no graphics or sound issues. Unfortunately coinopsx can't run very well.
Awesome review PDubs. I just received my Super Console X Stick and I can't figure out how to exit games back to the main menu. Tried everything with button mapping. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Pdubs I bought this stick a month ago. Most games don't run well. And you have to map your buttons. You should not recommend this product it is not that good. You are right about coinops though being the way to go.
Appreciate the feedback...The purpose of my video was to show it connected to the arcade cabinet to run MAME games. The mame arcade games run well on the stick in my experience. As pointed out in the video the higher end consoles on here are hit and miss on N64 and Dreamcast but then again to me that's not an issue as I would only recommend this as a quick fix to play 2500 Mame arcade games on the cabinet. I don't play Console games on my arcade machines only very rarely so I'm not looking to play Playstation and Gameboy on an arcade, etc.
Excellent video PDubs. Very informative. Mine should be arriving in two weeks. I watched the whole video but I guess I missed it, the Super Console X goes into your HDMI port, where does the other end connect to?
Hello I have a problem with my configuration of the commands during the installation of the super console x stick on my terminal, I configured my buttons but when I launch a game no buttons work, is there a possibility to redo a configuration of the commands? thank you
The Neo Geo MVSX Cabinet does not have HDMI "In" or the ability to use USB Controllers (OTG Mode) so if your MVSX is "Stock" the answer is no. You would have to gut your MVSX and add an HDMI/LCD Driver Board and then add USB Encoder boards, etc for controls. It can only be done by gutting the cabinet.
CoinOpsX is better - this is more of a quick fix for those who need it. CoinOpsX will also have all controls ready to go (spinner/trackball) for games that need those.
