After more than 30 years of traveling in Latin America, I gave up on becoming fluent-honestly, I should be ashamed of myself. English and Spanish share a lot of similar words, so I manage to get by. I know enough basic Spanish to survive, but even when I speak it, my strong NY accent makes it hard for people to understand me. If there’s ever a problem, I just use Google Translate!
@@schoolnyc You have to start back learning it’s never too late! Plus you’re in a great place to learn. I think the Peruvian accent is easy to understand.
