Grog really woke up and decided to cast "Fuck You" at the BBEG that day
You know one shot is supposed to mean a one-off story or campaign, Not taking the boss out in one action.
fine youtube, i’ll rewatch campaign 1
minus he first 27 episodes
Imho still the best Campaign
You son of a b***h, I’m in.
Back when it was slightly like real D&D and not a weird scripted Lefty soap opera
@@TwoKnowingRavensits hilarious that there are actually people who truly believe that it is somehow scripted.
Grog is the one character i would say, with his intelligence and ego, actually hears a hord of people chanting his name in his head when he does something like that.
86 points of damage. HDYWTDT?
Grog literally "86'd" the monster.
we all know that even if the monster still had a few hitpoints left.. after that performance Matt was gonna give it to him...
@@korganoc if i'm not mistaken, that wasn't his last attack
@darkstarj13 It was. Matt said, "How do you want to do this" which means Travis/Grog killed it.
@stonecoldku4161 I ment grog still had an attack action remaining so he could have done more damage if needed
@@darkstarj13 Fair enough. Sorry I misunderstood.
Literally woke up and chose violence.
That's just the way Grog rolls! :D
This is top 3 best CR moments. Up there with Jesters Modify memory and the Kaiju Battle with Luc and Caleb
Currently on campaign 2 and I love Fjord….however the vibe and pure energy that comes from GROG STRONGJAW IS AMAZING
You missed his middle name - "MFing" :P
Grog decided he was playing a one-shot that day.
This is why when I met Travis I said, "I would like to squee." And he was like, "You would like to SQUEE?" Me nodding like a nut.
it was literally fate that Grog got the last hit!!!
Grog does 213 damage (GG Travis G fucking G)
I swear I heard the DOOM soundtrack when he started raging haha
"I would like to rip and tear please." xD ruclips.net/video/kj1lgwMMOrc/видео.htmlsi=GmubnFMQDCHTh4tH
Grogg woke up and chose violence.
So a Tuesday then 😅
Forever my favorite moment of CR
"How do you want to do this?" 😂
The red subtitles are wrong a lot, but I love the clips. :)
Grog: "not reckless"
audience: "aww"
Grog: "Just give it a minute"
Yes, Grog knows there's an audience and what they want to see!! 😜🤣❤
If he doesn’t say this in the animated show I’m gonna be upset 😂
I don't play dnd so here is a n00b question.
Why does the crowd erupt when the dungeon master asks the question at the end?
That was confirmation that He killed the boss in one turn. „How you gonna do it?” Means „Describe how your character is killing him”
It's Matt's signature thing he does when he DM's. It's typically reserved for the last of a group of enemies, leader of a group of enemies, or a boss.
It's Mortal Kombat's "Finish Him!" But in D&D.
Against which boss was it, Kevdeck or something else?
So let me get this right… screams “vox machina f*** s*** up” then Pertains to WIN HIMSELF WITH TWO SWINGS 😂
This thing happened (albeit much less dramatically) to me a few days ago during a goofy one-shot I played.
My character, Raven, a shadow monk batman parody, had joined with a group hunting down members of the squirrel mafia in the ranger's forest (as I said, goofy one shot, but it was an absolute blast).
Anyway, we kick their asses, but right after Raven knocks out the last three mafia squirrels, the ranger, a feral half-elf named Bark bent on protecting his quiet time, steps up and summarily executes the three, horrifying Raven's sense of justice.
Raven finds the fourth squirrel, which he uppercutted out of the battlefield in the middle of the fight, unconscious but alive. He shoves it into his cloak. The group gets into some shennaniganery over what should be done with the mafia's gold, and Raven slips into the woods, but not before being seen by Bark, who follows him.
Raven sets up a little squirrel interrogation spotlight with his magnifying glass and a torch, and finds out that the squirrels were double-crossing the Bear Mafia. At that moment, Bark shows up, bent on murdering the last squirrel.
Raven gets the upper hand in initiative, grabs the squirrel. Bark tries to grapple him, and Raven, though having only an 8 in strength, gets out with a nat 20.
"He must stand trial for his crimes!" Raven yells, clutching the squirrel tight.
"And I am judge, jury, and executioner!" Bark raises his blade, ready for the kill.
"Smokebomb!" With a darkness spell (way of shadow monk), Raven flees into the woods, and with *another* NAT 20 on his stealth, manages to disappear into the rangers own forest, eventually bringing the squirrel to stand trial before a jury of his peers.
Raven moved on, but today keeps an eye over his shoulder, knowing that Bark may be just around the next tree.
Dude...this might be a goofy one-shot...but I want to know how the rest of the story goes. Squirrel mafia?? That sounds terrifying. Reminds me of that Rick and Morty episode when they have to leave their universe because Morty pissed off the squirrels.
@@Winterborn5 That was kind of the end of it for Raven, Bark, and the Squirrel mafia, but not for the Bear Mafia. There's a bunch of us who DM, and we're just kind of switching through episodic one-shots but playing the same characters.
The idea was that the leader of the Bear Mafia, Don Bearo, got betrayed by the rest of the family for going soft, so they hired the squirrels to take him out. They succeeded, and we inadvertently cleaned up the Bear's mess.
However, the lover of Done Bearo, a powerful bear witch named Dame Ursa, found out about the family's double cross and disappeared into the woods with the corpse of the Don. We were sent to hunt her down as she had been causing trouble on the road, and found out that she had fused with a mimic colony and fed Don Bearo to it, sort-of "reanimating" him as a half-corpse, half-mimic. While scouting out the colony, Raven and Bark started to realize they had a lot in common in their like of stealth and protectiveness of others, and they helped each other out a lot during the fight. The battle was truly harrowing, but we managed to take Ursa down.
Afterward, Bark disappeared into the woods, but not before accepting a truce from Raven. They aren't friends, exactly, but who knows? Maybe one day...
@@Bowtiedhillbilly That's an amazing story.
Man wish the fucking show was as good as their campaign.
The show is great. It just can't show everything when you have to condense hundreds of hours and has to streamline everything for the sake of cohesive narrative.
Worst subtitles I've ever seen
Bummer that raging and titan stone knuckles are both bonus actions isn’t it.
Edit: also reckless happens when you take the attack action before making any rolls, not on either attack.
All that rules lawyering but you forgot the most important dnd rule by far. The rule of cool
Also also:
Nobody cares
@@Joseph-lj4sp rule of cool isn’t “yeah you can ignore this very clear rule” it’s “yeah I’m not sure there’s a ruling here so I’ll allow this because it sounds cool” using two bonus actions isn’t rule of cool.
@@kyleweir689you must be fun to play with.
@@admiralvirhz because i adhere to the most basic of rules? Lmaoooo
Wasn’t consistent with following the campaign, the way this all came together and live as well. Pure Magic 🤌
