You are the best Cantonese teacher on RUclips and I appreciate all your hard work. I’ve seen every video at least ten times, and patreon, and master class on patreon. All worth it. I just wish that you had more weekly content for intermediate level. We are now in lesson 205. I don’t think there were any words here you haven’t covered. It feels like a lot of time spent on basic words that you excellently covered 100-200 lessons ago. I don’t mean to criticize because you really are the best. Those are just my thoughts because I would love to hear you cover some new topics and words each week.
Thank you very much for your continuous support. I will definitely consider your suggestion. Hope my monthly master class exercise will help for your level. I will implement more variety in the future. 😉
thank you for the lesson Amanda ! Btw I realized I actually have no idea of the first few words you say at the beginning of each lesson, when you say : "Hi there, I'm Amanda ! Welcome back to 5 minute cantonese. 大家好,我係Amanda,XXXX五分鐘廣東話." Could you please let me know what that "XXXX" part is ?
another great lesson. I wonder if those Honzi have some connection the meaning. 煮 looks like a pot or wok over a flame, so it seems to be more related to physically cooking something over fire, Whereas 整 can mean make or prepare, hence the example with the pasta and cake. Also 白飯, is that because the rice was usually eaten white?
You are very creative 👍🏻, 煮 is a phonetic compound word. It borrows the sound of 者 and the meaning of 火. 白 is the colour of the rice and also means pure. Nothing has added.
